Hey, when y'all come down here this week, the local beer brand is Abita. If ya like dark, get a Turbodog.

But back to football, the Toggers are restless about their quarterback non-production. Their offense scored one TD and the qb was something like 9 or 10 for 21 with 2 INTs. If you can stuff rb Ridley and you have called out their offense to dare to man up and show something else. Having said that, their D is stout, though the young dbs could be suspect. Don't throw to Patrick Peterson's side.

As long as we don't allow LSU to score when they're on defense or special teams then we should have a shot. There offense is as bad as ours. They definitely have us beat in talent/depth though. I'd take LSU considering it's in Baton Rouge but I expect it to be close.

Reality Time:

This isn't even going to be close. We couldn't even get 11 guys on the field every play last game, our WRs can't line up right, our OL is 5 months removed from their HS prom, and our defense doesn't know how to tackle.

As bad as LSU offense is, our defense is even worse. Watch for Peterson to have AT LEAST one pic, and LSU DL completely demoralize Simms. I really think LSU only needs to score 14 points to beat us, and our offense will probably give up at least half that.

....and I will gladly eat crow if I am wrong. It will be the best crow I have ever had. But anybody expecting a win on Saturday is just in for more disappointment. Accept our shortcomings this year, drink heavily, and have fun with it. It is all we have at this point. It is bonus if we somehow pull a win out of our arse in the next month.

Not saying we win, but CDD took less talent with same depth and experience issues into Death Valley last year and gave Les and the Tigers all they could handle. Key will be whether Poole can go and if we can use Stocker effectively.

One thing working in our favor is it's not a night game. Half our travel squad hasn't been on the road in the SEC. Death Valley at night is the hardest place to play in the conference.

What up Vol fans. I spent the last week on a WVU site leading up to the game. Ill do the same for this week. You can call me a troll if you want, but i just like to get to know the opposing teams fans before the game. Especially this week since im from, and now live in Knoxville lol. Now back on Topic, something to realize is LSU will NOT over look the vols. Our whole team especially Coach Miles and Jordan Jefferson are under fire for the lack of offense. So Tennessee can plan on seeing a LSU team ready to step it up before going to Florida. ( that might be where some over looking comes into play) But LSU knows they cant play Fla without getting this offense straightened up. And they will look to do that against Tennessee.

So what you're saying is that we won't be overlooked unless we are overlooked.

No, im saying people will say LSU will over look UT due to the fact LSU will be looking to Florida. That wont happen. LSU knows it has to get its offense going to be able compete even against UT. UT is the last chance to get it all together before the teams that could shut LSU down come into the picture.

Interesting that they haven't tried to "get their offense going" in the previous 4 games.

I think Tennessee is going to try to get its defense going in this game as well, so look out.

LSU is under fire for lack of offense, EVERY GAME, no matter the opponent will be a big one until they can get a respectable offense. Playing Tennessee might as well be playing Bama until they get it together. But if Tennessee can come out on fire and put LSU in a 14 point hole like Oregon, i dont know how LSU would respond. Either fold under pressure due to lack of passing game. OR Leslie would open that play book up and burn UT and finally start to get it going.

The point I was making is that it's not as simple as saying that "finally, LSU has decided to get its offense going." Your offense has serious problems just like both our offense and defense; so, I'm sure we're trying to "get the defense going this week." However, if it was so easy to do, the coaches would have already got it going by now.

well putting Lee in at QB might help or make it worse. But im sure until LSU gets the passing game somewhat on track, they look at every game like its the Gumps and need to go out and play their hardest. Whether the offense ever gets going or not, we will see, but i dont think they will over look anyone with the problems they have.

Have to say that this is the first time we play Tennessee that I'm not worried. Not that we can't lose but I seriously doubt we will. Points will be at a premium for both teams but we have more offensive weapons.

Welcome home Janzen.
