I will be a little fullfilled but we did lose to our biggest rivals so for me its sweet sour.

If we beat LSU is our season a success?

I will be extremely satisfied but still miffed about 100-37...that is going to sting until we avenge them next year

an SEC title would erase the sting of all other losses this year (at least until spring practice starts)

Im sure Florida or bama would take a loss to UT if it means a chance a to win the SEC. There are no satisfying some fans. I welcome a championship banner hanging any day of the year.

The beatings we took against UF and Bama are inexcusable, especially against Bama. However, I'm willing to let those slide with an SEC Championship AND a BCS bowl win.

I'll be 90% satisfied with an SEC championship.

100% satisfied with a BCS bowl victory.

I only say that, because it's kind of hard to convince people the SEC is the best conference in the nation if the conference champion loses its bowl game. Yes, the argument can still be legitimately made, but it's much easier when the SEC champion takes care of business.

If we win our first SEC title in 9 years ....

We will be
CHAMPIONS OF THE TOUGHEST LEAGUE IN COLLEGE SPORTS, PERIOD

Season summary: The year the Vols returned to glory (especially when we have 5 subsequent years of dominance)

I agree with everything except the parenthetical. I think you are just about 100 percent opposite of reality in that prediction. A bit early to talk about next year, but in case you missed it there is a team down in Gainesville that next year will be concensus preseason #1, and deservedly so.

Focus on your success this year and enjoy the ride, especially if it takes you to a BCS bowl. But don't go wishcasting for next year when you know better.

10 or 20 years from now new vols will remember this as a Championship season.

Keep in mind the Sugar Vols of 85 are remebered for the sugar bowl victory and the SEC championship, not the loss to florida or ties to Ga tech and UCLA.

The 90's were a "decade of dominance" for the Vols ... and your Gators got the best of us. 5 Games over the next 5 years will not be the only determinate of our power. Furthermore, you better be careful about your defense down in Gainesville. Zook's legacy there is going to run out real soon, and Meyer is no defensive genius.

If we beat LSU then we are conference champs.Isn't that what every SEC team wants to be??? I'll gladly lose to Bama and Florida if it means we are conference champs.

"when" we beat LSU, I would say that this season has arguably witnessed the greatest turn-around in recent Tennessee football history.

...and I'd also say I'm still ready for a coaching overhaul.

People like this clearly do not understand the tradition and personality of Tennessee's program.
