When was your first UT football game?

I use to go to alot of the JV games in the late 60's early70's (the ones I remember was always LSU for some reason or another)But we got invited to a game in the 70season if I'm not mistaken (my brother and I)and saw Curt Watson play,he was our hero and when we went home we would play in the yard and pretend to be him he was awesome. And I've been goin ever since.

98 Florida. Hard to think I will ever experience anything like that again. Maybe if we lay the wood to them next year.

My first was the 04' Vandy vs. UT we won 48 - 0. The best game i went to was the UT vs. U of M game in 2006 we won 41 - 7.

First game was at Neyland when i was around 7 years old for a game against South Carolina. I've been hooked on Vol football ever since. There is no experience, sports wise, like sitting through a good game at Neyland. JMO

As a preteen, the 1968 opener against Georgia, 17-17 tie. Vols scored 8 points in the last two minutes to forge the tie.
John Ward's first broadcast and first game on artifical turf.

9-19-92 Florida. Great seat for the low low price of $22.16 & we opened up a can 31-14, Shuler was fun to watch

my first game was during the early 80,s ,but i was very sick cant even remeber who we played but i know ut won,the most memrable season was the season chuck webb ran for 294 yards against ole miss and after the game i walked to midfield and then down the tunnel where i was standing and my uncle and friends looked and said your standing beside archie manning and i turned and talked to him shook hands, but that isnt the whole deal after only gonig to 3 or 4 games in my life before that season besides ole miss i watched a total of 6 home games and went and watched ut beat kentucky at kentucky , that was the best year of my life besides the national championship season

1990 Pacific

I was 6, and went with my father, TennTom on here, my uncle, and a couple of their friends. We sat in the endzone very front row, right at the corner where the Vols come out of the tunnel. Smokey pulled me out of the stands during the game and held me and I got to be on TV, which was pretty cool for my first game.

I remember patting Chuck Webb on the shoulder as he was being carried into the locker room after breaking his leg.

We won 55-7.

I think the year was 2000. We played Florida in Knoxville and lost in the last minute of the game. I remember it was so loud that I could feel my insides rumble. Everyone was on their feet the whole game. Could not talk for a couple of days.

oooh. this is a tough one. I know it was UCLA came to Knoxville, but I don't remember what year.

The records say that's 1996 so i guess that's when it was. (Could be 91 too though...)
