When was your first UT football game?

I don't remember the date but it was the game with Ole Miss where Reggie Cobb broke the single game rushing record with something like 294 yards.

my first game was on 10/15/1977 at Legion Field vs Bama.

I was still in my mother's belly....

the Vols lost.

;(

2002 Tennessee vs Arkansas 6 overtimes I was about 15 rows up on the 20 yard line where the overtimes were it was crazy.

Mine was 1994, my freshman year at UT and we played Florida at home. I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in, seeing all the orange. I was speechless. Then they beat the living dog crap out of us. I think it was 35-0.

The first game for me was in 2000, 3rd Saturday in October!!! Alabama vs Tennessee which was an excellent game for my first! I absolutely fell in love with the Big Orange and will always remember that win 20-10.

My wifes ex husband gave us 2 sweet tickets for my first game. 2000 Bama game. Bama sideline around 40 rows up on the 30 yard line. I was in AWE from the energy from the bigorange wave of fans gathering for the vol walk. Then to actually walk in and scan the 107,000 fanaTics, not to mention it being against Bama. To come out victorious was just a magical day for me.

I thought KC Chiefs had it down for tailgaiting and gameday atmosphere. I dont know who could rival a collegiate setting.
Even if you are not a Chiefs fan, if you ever get a chance to go to Arrowhead do it, like Neyland you wont be disappointed.

Wow vol86 I must have been typing when you posted. 20-10 your right. That was a great day for me. Thats when I knew I would be moving hear soon after.

1999 final home game against Vandy. Travis Henry injured his neck on a goal line over-the-top dive. Everyone booed Jamal Lewis whenever he touched the ball because he was tiptoeing everywhere.

First game . . . 1984 UK - the last time UT lost to UK. I was only 6 at the time. I went to all the home games with my dad the following year, and to the Sugar Bowl, and was a vol fan for life after that!

1996 versus UNLV. Tennessee won 62-3. It was the 75th anniversary of Neyland Stadium, and the upper deck had just been expanded.

1979, Utah. Sat in the end zone in wooden bleachers. UT scored over 50, Utah, a lot less. Fell in love with the energy of Neyland Stadium and the Vols.

Ucla game september of 91 . Dale Carter was my favorite player at the time and he was tossed out on the kickoff for biting a bruin on the leg or foot , can't remember .

1985 Auburn game. Yeah, that was the way to start your Neyland experience! Auburn, of course, was ranked #1 in the country with Bo Jackson running the football. It wasn't even close, the big orange ruled that day 38-20! Tony Robinson was a bad dude! Too bad he liked to sniff the goal line in more ways than one.

2002 Rutgers, had tickets in the nose bleeds 5 rows from top. First time i'd ever seen Neyland, walked out to see the field right after walking in the gate and was in awe. I still get cold chills everytime i hear Rocky Top @ Neyland

1986 or 87 vs Loiusville. UT won like 44-7...I remember Tony Robinson having a couple of big runs.

I may be wrong about the year...but I know it was against Louisville

1980 vs. Washington State. I was 10 and my Dad took me. That was his first game back since he graduated from U.T. in the mid 60's. I've bled orange ever since.
