IMO it's the 01 SECCG.

This game will in all likelihood determine whether we're "back" or not as a SEC and national contender.

While I don't necessarily think it means we're back to win... it definitely means we are not back if we lose.

I agree it's the biggest game since the '01 SECCG. The national perception of the program is on the line.

The first game of the season, the second game of the season, the third game of the season... the game after, the game after that, the game after that, the game after that, the game after that, the game after that, the game after that, the game after that...

Last year' Oklahoma game. The players and coaches learned a lot of bad habits in that game. If UT wins, they may very well have made it to the playoffs.

It's been years since I can remember a game having this much weight to it as a fan base and coaching staff. I'm going to say the 2012 Florida game.

I thought of that game as well. It was a big "we're back" 'moment that was lost.

Urban Meyer's first Tennessee game or Muffcramp's first Tennessee game or Coach Teeth's first Tennessee game. We have consistently let Florida coaches establish themselves against us in year one of their respective tenures. I, for one, am THOROUGHLY SICK OF IT!!!! Win this damned game.

And by all ****ing means, don't downplay this game. It is as monumental as the Washington Monument (slight exaggeration, but you get the point). Our respect as a program is on the line tomorrow. I've been waiting 364 days to face them again and I hope we don't have to wait another day to beat those mother****ing Gator chumps. Please tell me that Butch understands this.

Please.

I swear you all I have gone all week trying to not read many articles and not read any hype. Just trying to approach it as another game tomorrow. Not too high and definitely not overlooking it. I hope the players aren't over hyped for this one. I want to kick Florida's Gator Azzes BAD but my nerves won't take being sky high for the game and having to pace while it's being played. Go VOLS!!!!!! Beat the Gators!!!!!!!!!

2015 Florida game -- same stakes, except that we now know for sure that it determined who made Atlanta.

Wow. I hadn't thought about it but Ron Zook also beat Tennessee (badly!) in his 1st season in 2002. Ironically, we managed to beat Spurrier 45-3 in 1st season in 1990.

Last years game was...had we won that game, we would have gone to Atlanta and had some crazy momentum heading into the rest of the season. Instead we were 2-2 and squeaked by Georgia and South Carolina.
