When is Oregon arriving in Knoxville?

Their fans are already showing up, saw too much of that green and yellow on the strip tonight

Folks that travel cross country to support their team are worthy of respect and hospitality.

BIG MISTAKE on their part. That's a LONG way to travel in the air and then have legs the next day. GBO!

could not agree more with you.
downplaying the long travel the night before the game is a joke. It WILL have an effect on them in a negative way. We might not win because of it, but it certainly will play a role in the game.

I find it funny that Vol fans want bad things to happen to the Ducks on their way to Tennessee. I guess that's the south for you.

Go Ducks!

I find it funny you are stereotyping all people from the south. I guess its fair for us to do it to you then, you long haired smelly disgusting hippy. I also find it funny you are trolling the Vols message board you little baby. Go bathe yourself, and tell your woman to shave her arm pits, as well as her legs.

that is if you even have a significant other.

The fact that its at night is not a big deal. It will be 4 pm for them. The fact that they are getting here tonight (if true) is a big deal because they will probably have a hard time getting to sleep at a decent hour here. If their body clock does not allowe them to get to sleep until there 11 pm or midnight they will be up until 3am Knoxville time. That will make for a pretty long Saturday.

wtf? did that really happen?

It did... I've seen lots of individuals from other schools do really classless things, but never have I seen the majority of a fan base do something so classless in unison. I was shocked. I know they're probably all Obama worshiping liberals, but they should at least respect other viewpoints and not try to force their views on others, or be so condescending to people who don't get offended by everything under the sun.

I've never been to Oregon, and I honestly don't have much of a stereotype of people from Oregon yet. Maybe y'all can help me to better develop one this weekend. Right now, I envision all of you as being the Seattle-type hipster that likes to grow odd-looking facial hair and discuss some contrarian political views with fellow hipsters at a non-corporate coffee shop. Is this at all accurate?

Assuming my schedule allows for it, I definitely plan on making the return game to Oregon in 2013, and I'm hoping to reaffirm some southern stereotypes when I get there.

Hands down classless moment in all my games at Neyland was when the Bama fans started Roll Tide with our player down on the field.

Never have I seen a crowd turn against opposing fans so fast and so spirited.

Our guys actually practice in the morning, these guys are tired and are in bed before midnight. The only thing that will be keeping them up is thinking about the game. I assume your guys will be doing the same thing so all in all it's a push imo. Imo the gametime basically makes most of this a non factor. Chip Kelly is a smart guy and has seen how Cal has dropped some bombs on the east coast.

Also, considering the game doesn't start til 6 there these guys can sleep til 7 west coast time and they will have been rested and will have plenty of time to get prepared.

that's great, i'm sure it will be a fantastic experience for you.

one word of caution, don't believe the "best hangover breakfast" ads you'll see. the good Lord did not intend tofu to be made into omelettes. :jpshakehead: and
bring your own grits, i don't think they are legal here :)

That was when the students started chanting "F YOU BAMA!"

Won't forget that...

Getting scared? We will be there at 4 ET. Thats all you need to know. Don't be mesmerized by our uniforms. The recruits visiting Tennessee tomorrow will.

All of this makes me wonder if they're going to be conditioned enough to keep up.

I think that's really what this game boils down to.

Cal fans are a bunch of pinko-commy-liberals that live in a world full of unicorns and world peace.

Oregon is pretty libertarian, especially when it comes to state politics. You'll find that most people here are anti-tax, distrust government, love the outdoors, and couldn't care less about issues like gay marriage and the legality of marijuana. People live and move here to be left alone. Most of the northwest is like that...unfortunately, all people out East see is the limp-wristed idealist wackos that make the news for protesting something or "raising awareness". You go anywhere outside of Portland or Eugene, and you'll find just as many rednecks as you will in Tennessee (minus the accents of course)

Great people outside of Portland and Eugene. I agree.
I've had a blast hunting mountain and valley quail in the Southern part of the state.

Great people but your rednecks do have a very distict dialect. It's just different than ours.

Anybody know where the ducks are staying. A parked car that's car alarm keeps going off every 20 minutes until 5 am would suck, wouldn't it?
