I assume it's the Troy game, but I remember a few years ago we had the Ole Miss game as Homecoming, so I guess it's possible that it might be Missouri...

I'm pretty sure it's the Troy game. I haven't seen anything for sure , but it seems like the logical choice.

What time of the year (month wise, etc) is homecoming usually?

Or does it move around the season?

UT (the school/alumni office side) has tried to keep it as the first home game of November.

There have been times that it has had to move for various reasons, but the first game in November has been what they have tried to keep the tradition as being.

It's the Gator game. Dooley wanted to make sure the homecoming game is against a team TN will dominate .

By definition that would be Troy, but if that is the rule, then why the heck can't they go ahead and put it on the schedule?

That's outside of the AD's control, the Alumni Office has yet to officially set HC.

Exactly, you would think that the Alumni Office would know which game was going to be Homecoming as soon as a Schedule is set. I still think it is a no-brainer. However, having dealt with the Admin (Academic side) at UT the last 6 years with my two sons over there, I can FULLY understand the cluelessness of this. Example, my son who is in Gradual School in Engineering was back charged fees or thinks he was back charged because the bill he got last week just said fees. He went to the Bursar's office to find out why. Their answer, "We don't know, we can't help you. But unless you pay them, you can't register for school next fall."

It's where you gradually learn you don't want to go to school anymore.....I think is from the movie The World According to Garp. I can't take credit for it.

I remember when a little kid, surprised that I was still in school, asked me what grade I was in ... I had to count it up and say ... 27th? :eek:hmy:
