When Hurd Got Injured?

IMO Hurd was injured during the drive that he caught the td. On a play prior to the catch, Hurd was tackled and his head went hard into turf and he had to remove lots of grass from face mask. He sat out a play or two, then returned to catch td. He did not play again until final kickoff.

If he is dealing with a concussion, then that is most likely when it happened. Hurd having practiced kick return formation for the past 3 years and with lower risk on that play either asked to or was allowed to return for that one play. CBJ probably did not want to announce concussion thus lower extremity story.

Well a lot has been discussed with Hurd-gate...I don't think he's hurt at all, but if he is, I hope everyone steps up all the more.

It's not a concussion. Allie Laforce stood behind him almost the entire 2nd half and never saw him being examined by the medical staff.

I personally don't think Hurd was hurt. I really think Butch pulled his a** for arrigance after dropping the ball in the endzone. Being cocky! Hope this taught him a lesson! Kamara is more explosive, but Hurd will run over you! Eddie George style! JMO

I just hope all is well with Hurd. He's important to this program. If it's concussion, take care of him. If he got an STD at halftime, give him penicillin. Either way, take care of him. More honesty/transparency regarding a star player would be nice though. I'd prefer to not worry about this but it's all I could think about each time I saw the offense line up without him in the 2nd half at Georgia. He's too important to lose on offense. I don't care if Kelly is ready. Hurd built this offense with Dobbs. It's their offense. Kamara is awesome, but he is more effective when hurd is wearing down the defense.

Hurd got slammed pretty hard and when he came off the field, he told coach, "Man that was a kick in the nuts."

Maybe?

I would make sense if it was a concussion because their was a couple that gave me a head ache just watching it...but he ran 50 yards across the field in 5 seconds and was bouncing around celebrating...which was well after that and the final kick off....I'm simply calling BS on Butch's excuse about Hurd. I think he shot off at the mouth and is being used as an example to the rest of the team...just like Justin Martin...Team 120 is a dictatorship not a democracy and Butch rules them all.

Basically you're like the rest of us....you're guessing and that's ok....but I do agree a team IS NOT a democracy. That's why we have coaches. Nick Saban??? Now there's you a dictator.

Hey all, take this for what it's worth but I happened upon this celebration video after the game... It is pretty entertaining in itself but take a look in the background in the last couple of seconds... You'll see #1 walking away holding a hand to his head and looking shook up. We'll probably never really know what the real story is but I thought this might be interesting as I hadn't seen it posted. Get better Jalen!

So you think he is suspended from practice then? If he was in trouble he would be running stairs in Neyland. Not being at practice or even doing walk through drills in green means he's probably getting expert concussion help or spending extend time in the training room.
