Whats wrong with Dooley?

Kiffin was a reach and sometimes you got to take a chance. Most people liked the hire until he started acting like a horses butt and then ditched us for USC.

Pearl threw himself under the bus.



Lets talk about the financial state of the Athletic Department, the renovations to Neyland Stadium, the new training center, new score board.

How come no one mentions the good things Hamilton has done for the AD?

It would be good of some people on this board actually knew what they were taking about instead of regurgitating what a few posters on this board have to say about the situation. Those same ones that seem to have an axe to grind with Hamilton.

I hope we give Dooley 5 years. I really like Dooley so far, and I hope Ut is fair with him and realizes the situation he inherited when he came here after Kiffin left.

I think most of us are "ok" with Dooley. .....wins make us "happy".

Eevey SEC school (Including Vandy) has made/or is making major renovations. You don't need a AD to make renovations, or else Vandy wouldn't be doing it. Some architect is hired to come up with the plans, its what called CONTRACTING! Hammy probably couldn't even put in a light bulb.

OK, on to Fundraising. Here's what really happens. The SEC signs a $2.5 billion deal with ESPN and CBS. The SEC divides up the money and send TN a check for about $18 million. Hammy walks to the mailbox and picks it up.

This. I think Dooley is a good representative of the university and has some promise, but he is far from proving that he is the real deal. Hamilton is going to have to hope he shows some of those signs within the next couple seasons or he is toast.

Look what came crawling out of Hammy's rear end. Let me guess: when Hamilton becomes flatulent, the hair on your head feels the breeze.

If you are incapable of properly representing the University of Tennessee Athletic Department in a public setting, then you are not fit to run the Athletic Department.

If you cannot support the players on your watch who are representing your Athletics program in post-season competition without stepping all over yourself, then you should be fired and put back in the bean-counting position you were in before.

I'm not even getting into the hiring errors this clown has made while at Tennessee. This guy cannot be trusted as the public face of UTAD.

Then get your resume together and get your application filled out, since you appear to know how to properly run an AD. While you're at it, fire the football coach, since you probably think you know how to do his job better.

If expressing your opinion about the job performance of the AD means that you must know better how to run the dept, then doesn't it equally apply when your opinion is positive and supporting?

Logic is my friend. :)

I just think its not right for some of the fans to blame Hamilton for all the problems at UT

"Summer's Eve" Hamilton IS responsible for all the problems within the UT athletic department. You can't blame Fulmer. You can't blame Doug Dickey. You can't blame Buzz Peterson. You can't blame Jane Cronyn. You can't blame anyone but Hamilton.
-He extended Fulmer and then screwed up the firing less than a year later.
-He fired a successful baseball coach and hired a loser.
-He listened to Grunfeld and hired Pearl. He took credit for it even though all he did was let Grunfeld make the choice. Now that Pearl has $hit in his messkit, Hamilton is letting him dangle like a dingleberry.
-He screwed up the hiring of Kiffin.
-When Kiffin told him he would be a candidate for So Cal if the job opened, Hamilton went skiing in Colorado rather than looking around for potential replacements.
-Hamilton is reaction, not action.
-Hamilton raises money. So could I with the UT program in the SEC.

I've seen a proper athletic director. He held the job before your idol took over.

Dickey wasn't perfect. But he set the financial table for Hammy and makes him look like a rank amateur by comparison in every other respect.

At this rate, I'd take a Bob Woodruff over Hamilton in a heartbeat. The on-field record wouldn't be great, but at least we'd have a man who can complete a sentence without demonstrating hoof-in-mouth disease.
