How much rope do you guys think a new AD will give Dooley? When Kiffin left, I told several friends that Hamiltons job would coincide with Dooleys. Little did I know the Pearl shenanigans, and the behind the scenes activity.

But in thinking that Hamiltons job went with Dooley, and pretty much being wrong... do you guys think that a new AD will give Dooley a fair chance, or try and get "his" hire in?

My opinion is that Dooley would get 2 years to have a 9-10 win season. After that, we could be down the same old familiar road we have been traveling for what seems like forever.

Abandoning UT is a little much. I'll be a fan in the tough years too but we've got to make the right hires. It's beginning to be embarrassing to be a UT fan.

The decision making at UT is embarrassing right now, not the program as a whole.

Being embarrassed of the decision making and the current relevancy of the athletic program is what I'm talking about. If you're not even a little embarrassed and want better for the vols., your just as bad as the bandwagon fans.

This is just a semantics battle. We all know what we're talking about, and we all feel the same damn thing. It's been HARD to be a UT fan the past few years.

Of course I want better.

But for people (not you) to claim to be "done" with UT based upon what could happen when we bring in a new AD, irritates me.

2012 has to be a much improved year if Dooley is going to be here in 2013, IMO.

:good!: He's going to get three years no matter what and thats all you can ask for in the SEC. Year two better be a big year though or DD won't last long in this conference.

Not by any means.

But had to ask since you wasn't replying to anyone elses quote, so I figured it was at the question I asked.

....fair enough. :eek:k:

Whoever the new AD is he will have his eyes open for "his guy" the second he gets his name on the door.

..the only thing Dooley can do to keep his job is win.
