When Does Richmond get Benched?

To be honest, I've seen step kids in protective custody of DHS that hadn't been beat as bad as some of our OLine, including Richmond.

The fact that he’s not been benched up to this point, says a lot about our O-Line depth.

With Richmond’s size, he should not be getting tossed around by smaller guys than him.

RIchmond graded better than Trey in Florida game

I always thought Drew would finally click and become a good tackle, it hasn't appeared. If you watch close about a third of the time he's not bad. He's for some reason terribly bad on key plays....3rd and whatever. I think he gets nervous, insecure and screws up. If Cade Mays had come here he'd be sitting.

Late in the Florida game, Richmond cost us a rushing TD when he couldn’t hold his block. When I watch that play, its one of the more upsetting things I’ve seen him do. Right up next to all of the penalties. He definitely has issues with consistency and toughness. Both are mental/psychological things, so at this point I just don’t know if it’ll get much better with him anytime soon (or presumably it would have by now).

And yes I 100% hope and expect that he’ll end up following the pattern and playing in the NFL for a long time despite struggling while here.

You've never heard of getting beat like a red-headed step kid?

Or getting beat worse than a foster kid?

Not a reach at all, pretty common sayings, at least in Tennessee...

Not the same. You didn’t use a generic, non-personal idiom like that. You spoke very specifically of personal experience. Some things aren’t meant to be football message board fodder.

The odd thing about the OL stinking is that Fuller said that is what CJP talked about during the interview. I think Friend is a good OL coach, but you would think with CJP focusing on the OL in the interview and Friend being a good OL coach we wouldn't look like crap. Maybe CJP was just just stroking Fulmer because he knew he was a former OL and coached it too in order to get the job.

I tend to disagree. He was Beat consistently that entire first game. After the first couple of series, the coaching staff started subbing different players in on the O line and that’s when the improvement started. I didn’t see much improvement from him at all.
Actually I think even Hubbs stated that first play was on I think Ryan Johnson. Kennedy didn't play great but I'm pretty sure he played center all game. He did look better at the end imo

Because many on here believe he is a first round draft pick for some reason, first round offensive lineman don’t get beat on pass protection as often as he does
He’s out of position. Trey will be a guard in the NFL. Unfortunately, we don’t have any true tackles on this team. Best case scenario for next year is Morris, Richmond, Kennedy, Smith, Wright left to right.

Sounds like a pretty good scenario to me, but Carvin could be a starter as well. We'll see..
