Going into the season we were suppose to be 8/9 deep on the OL. Word is Chance Hall is getting close, but will more than likely go to LG. What is the status of Tatum? What changes do you think Pruitt makes to try to piece together something?

That is misleading. He got beat up pretty good in the three series but he played way better after that.

I tend to disagree. He was Beat consistently that entire first game. After the first couple of series, the coaching staff started subbing different players in on the O line and that’s when the improvement started. I didn’t see much improvement from him at all.

Well, I disagree with your statement all around and I think most people watching that game, especially us big guys that played on the offensive line in our younger days would. The line has issues across the board but you cannot point out any play after the first 3 series in the WV where he got consistently whooped. He held his own and actually made some really good block after he got his feet wet.

Even if we hold onto wanya and get Darnell wright you have to understand that’s two true freshmen playing the 2 most important spots on the OL. With that being said a cardboard cutout of someone is just as good as Richmond so they’ll be upgrades

Hall played well when healthy. Certainly has the size. I've heard lots of complaints on here about Richmond but against UF CJP was coming down on the ends and running backs getting crossed up and missing. I think #58 had a bust or two also. Trey also appears to be backing up. We aren't moving the chains so essentially it's the whole damn bunch not understanding the team concept yet. If they would just know their individual assignments on each play and execute then come film time the coaches could show how THE TEAM CONCEPT relies on evey player executing. Another thing is all this moving around at different spots could be confusing some of them. Should have had a good idea on who was going to play where by the end of spring.

The good news is that help is on the way. I wouldn't mind seeing the 2019 class finish up with a few more lineman. This is one position group that the roster needs a shot in the arm ASAP.

Right you are. I am more excited about getting 4 lineman than anything. The more we bring in the better, IMO. I am hoping that they are maulers but we shall see. The incoming class is looking good atm and I like that.

Who would replace him?

Are we certain that’s really “help”? Seems like I’ve seen this movie several times over the years only to eventually be disappointed yet again. I recall only a few years ago that Richmond himself was the “help” that was on the way.

As sure has we can be. At some point bad luck runs out, right? Like I said above, I like the volume and would love to see 2 or 3 guys come in that can play right away. We need to flip and improve the roster on the line above all else at this point. I think we can all agree that the o-line is the biggest need atm.

I certainly hope so. I haven't really followed recruiting. I usually don't until the season is over.
