My concern is that even if Bailey is clearly better, Pruitt's loyalty to JG may cost us a game or two before his hand is forced.
Pruitt has to make a jump next year. Like 8-9 regular season wins kinda jump. JG ain’t capable of leading an offense that can consistently score to do that. Bailey might be the next Trevor Lawrence or the next Mitch Mustain.....
Im not sure we have any evidence of him being partial to JG. IMO we do not have another qb that is more consistent than him. I think both Maurer and shrout can and will be better eventually, but this year they lacked the experience needed to prevail in some of these games. My concern is that even if Bailey is clearly better, Pruitt's loyalty to JG may cost us a game or two before his hand is forced.
I’m not surprised when he makes throws like that anymore. He is really setting the bar low for BaileyThat pick 6 by Guarantano tonight was atrocious. Take a look at that crap and tell me that looks like an SEC starting QB at the end of his junior season. Guarantano locked onto the WR from the time he completed his drop and never looked him off... he was determined that is where he was going with the ball, defensive alignment and coverage be damned. That was a horse manure pass. I still can't believe he threw it.
I'm all for giving Bailey a chance at the start of the season if that is the best we currently have.
Comon' man. Pruitt broke the "Most times benching a QB in a season" record this year.My concern is that even if Bailey is clearly better, Pruitt's loyalty to JG may cost us a game or two before his hand is forced.

JG, Maurer, and Shrout all had their moments this year, and they all had way more "Damn this guy can't play" moments.
If HB comes in and is the QB version of HT, Morris, or Gray, he will play on day one just like those guys.
