So early afternoon late afternoon or night. which time do you like kickoff? for me it depends on who the opponent is. i like my georgia early afternoon. my bama late afternoon. and my gators at night

For me it depends on the team as well. I don't care who they are playing at night I just love seeing them run through that T under the Neyland lights. But I'm like the OP. But maybe Bama a little earlier than late afternoon.

EDIT: I like Vandy at like late afternoon and Ky at night. idk why.

I like late afternoon or night.....opponent really has no bearing on the time

Big games at night. Crowd, always seems louder and more into the game, can't imagine why??? :toast:

As for the UAB, UTMartin games stick em at mid day.

I prefer all September games at night, October games later afternoon or night and November games during the day.

2:30-3:00. Plenty of time to get to Knoxville, have some lunch and beverages, go to game. After the game, you can either stay and enjoy the strip or go back home and still get a good night's rest

I like night games regardless of the opponent or time of year. I enjoy getting to stay at home a little longer and watch some of the early games before heading to campus.

I like kikoff 7-9 PM. Nite games are much more enjoyable esp on a Saturday. All Honeydoos are done and I can relax.

For games played in the South during the hottest part of September, it should be mandated, for the safety of players and fans alike, that all games be played at night. During other portions of the season, the 3:00-3:30 pm time slot is generally considered most prestigous for national broadcast purposes and would be particularly appropriate for that war traditionally waged on The Third Saturday of October.

Games that matter:

1. Game 1, kickoff at 7. I don't care if it is UTM or Oregon, play it at night. Give the fans all day to feel the gameday experience, plus it's hot.

2. Florida, night game. This game deserves a night game.

3. Georgia, day game. It just feels right.

4. Alabama, day game. Enough said.

5. South Carolina, night game. I like kicking their arse at night.

6. UK & VU, who really cares. Play them at 6:30 in the morning if you want to.

Night games

drinkers have time to drink
old people have time to get in the mood
everyone has time to get a good meal in, or a good bunch of snacks
and by kickoff everyone is ready to rage

There's nothing better than a night game at Neyland. Much more time to tailgate = a much better time

I love night games and the Gators should be an 8PM kickoff every year...there should be a RULE!

I agree on Georgia being a early kick...just seems to work for us.

Bama needs to be at 3:30 just to much prestige for night.

Then all other games should start around 5...gives you time to pregame, but the game doesn't ruin the whole night either.
