And what happens through the rest of the year? We will certinly make a coaching change. Even dooley seems to know hea failed. I hope we go ahead and act quickly. My guess would be Chaney being intern coach and hopefully naming a new coach in the coming weeks. Obviously I think we are pretty unanimous in our hope that the new coach will be gruden. But if not, we might have to play out the season and then pursue somebody like Charlie strong.

If nothing is announced by wednesday he'll be back next year, unless he loses one of the final 4 games. I expect to hear by tuesday at the latest.

Dooley will finish out the season. Nothing to gain by getting rid of him now. Would just send a message to our team that the Administration has given up on them with 4-5 more games to play.

Not a smart move, IMO. Especially when you have several players that COULD turn pro, instead of coming back for their Senior season

Why do you say this (the wednesday part)? Just curious...I hope you're right

Usually things like this get announced on tuesday, so if you wake up wednesday and haven't heard then he's staying. Got to make the move now so he doesn't build momentum with 4 straight bottom feeder wins.

Yea, I would hate for our TEAM to build any kind of momentum going into next season. Maybe they can just quit like they did last year against Kentucky. That would be great.

That's quite an assumption though to say conclusively that he's staying if we haven't heard by wednesday. Fuad reveiz was saying today that the decision will probably be made at the end of the season. I'm not sure if he based that on any inside knowledge, but he's more "inside" than any of us probably. In any case, I'm really digging the whole Gruden on a plane story.

Dear God, if its anything like the "Lovie Smith on a plane" stories then this won't end well for all you Gruden Slurppers.

That will probably happen anyway, beating kentucy, vandy, troy and mizzou not great victories, I meant that Dooley can't regain support for these wins.
