When did you realize what VFL meant?

If this is a sarcastic question, then I apologize, as my meter must be broken.

If not, the first time I heard about the VFL program was right after Dooley arrived. I think he set it up as something that all of the football players could aspire to, as they already did to the NFL. He added Terry Fair as the administrator to help them prepare to be Vols For Life. There is training, support, and the ability to belong to something larger than themselves.

IMO, JMO.

If you want to know more I would search You Tube for Vol For Life.

Pretty sure Andre Lott is the head of the VFL program.

Our coaches came up with this? I was in India for all of the past football season and in Iraq the season before that; when exactly did this happen?

Dooley started this up.

Andre Lott runs the thing.

It's a place where the athletes can go and pretty much have a life coach. A kid needs advice, he can go talk to former Vols that may have had the same problems when they were in school.

Dooley actually presented this concept during his intitial interview. This is one of the things that "blew the interviewers away" and pushed them toward hiring Dooley.

I thought partner but then it would be short for "part" not pard.

pard=troll IMHO

Hell, I might just have to believe you instead of centuries of history, pard. You do make quite a compellin' case.

Still, though, what does VFL stand for, pards? Is it vacuum flex line? Vanderbilt football loses?

Sounds good to hear that. The concept may sound strange to some people, but it seems like a good idea. Have to give Dooley credit for that.

Ah, thank you kindly, pard. Although it does not describe me, y'all sure seem to have a lot 'round up in here to whom that seems to fit just perfectly.
Have to wonder what a Wake Forest fan is doing up in a Tennessee message board, pahdnuh.
