When are we going to move on?

First and foremost I am seeking to understand, not criticize or infer negative intent. We all have the right to our opinions as well, thank goodness we live in 'Merica! 🇺🇸

When are we going to stop looking back and focus forward? All of the Nico threads, and some are quite amusing, feel like we can't get over the situation. Until mid-summer I was in the same boat to be honest. But now that JA is killing it and the other guy....forget his name.... (well, whatever, it will come to me) is on the struggle bus why do we keep going back to that well?

I suppose I just dislike the fact he is still living, rent free, in some of our fellow Vols heads when we CLEARLY have a team that will be exciting to watch and are probably better off the way it went down.

What am I missing?
Dagnabbit.....for the umpteenth time it's "Murica". As for moving on and letting go, Volnation is like a rabid dog with a bone. They'll never let go....NEVER.

I agree - Nico is gone so it's time to let it go.
I refuse.

Until his shadow no longer lingers over the Vols, he will remain part of the conversation. He carried us into the playoffs for the first time, and THEN he may have tried to hold out before those very games. He stands as the most polarizing recruit CJH has ever brought to campus. He tarnished the program’s image and put us on the news all off season in a negative light (regardless if they were discussing him or us in that negative light, but if he had done well and Aggie had done poor we would be having a MUCH different discussion right now), and his father only added to the spectacle with sideline antics and counterfeit jerseys. UCLA’s late kickoffs keep him in the discussion as well since most of us love having one more thing to root for (or against) after the UT game.

People will always discuss what draws their attention. You do not get to decide what is worthy of discussion By asking us to end the conversation, you have prolonged it. Each time you respond in protest, you inadvertently, breathe more life into the subject. Your engagement becomes an open door inviting others to step in whenever new Nico news surfaces.

If you truly wish for the horse to rest, why place the saddle back upon his back? (I made this quote up so feel free to use it if you love it)

I agree. He’s gone. We’re fine. Think about our season.

Welcome to being a fan. We are no different than any other fanbase.

I don’t get the idea of the gatekeeping portion of the fanbase who act like they can’t fathom why any Tennessee fan would enjoy seeing Nico struggle. There has never been a situation quite like this in college sports, and your favorite team is a major player in the story. How can anyone not be fascinated watching Aguilar drive this train past that Polynesian Pileup?

We need at least 1000 more threads and internet articles reminding us that Nico was set to make 2.1 million and is now making 1.4 million with California taxes, also UT's new QB came from UCLA (essentially a trade) and is 2-0. Nico is 0-2, and Nico is making less money now, and paying higher California tax. If anyone needs a reminder of the above, just scroll fb or volnation and it will be posted several hundred times.

I’m getting some pleasure in seeing UCLA struggle. It will be interesting how he performs in the B10. But interest will fade pretty soon.

Never. A good Nico fail is just up there right under a Tennessee win. The way him and his family left us he deserves every bit of it.

We got lucky picking up JA. We could have been in a really bad spot with the timing of it going down. I’m going to enjoy UCLA being sorry all year. Maybe we ca. let it go over the offseason.
