First and foremost I am seeking to understand, not criticize or infer negative intent. We all have the right to our opinions as well, thank goodness we live in 'Merica! 🇺🇸

When are we going to stop looking back and focus forward? All of the Nico threads, and some are quite amusing, feel like we can't get over the situation. Until mid-summer I was in the same boat to be honest. But now that JA is killing it and the other guy....forget his name.... (well, whatever, it will come to me) is on the struggle bus why do we keep going back to that well?

I suppose I just dislike the fact he is still living, rent free, in some of our fellow Vols heads when we CLEARLY have a team that will be exciting to watch and are probably better off the way it went down.

What am I missing?

When will we move on??? We won't.

There are still arguments about Fulmer doing Majors wrong. People still harbor resentment towards Doug Dickey. Lane Kiffin is still persona non grata.
Our memory is long and our loathing is insatiable.

I'm curious if there have been significantly more restraining orders issued on ex-husbands & ex-boyfriends in East Tennessee compared to anywhere else in the USA, considering how Vols fans have acted regarding Lane Kiffin & Nico Iamaleava. It's like there's something in the water, or maybe it's the corn in a jar, that turns us into weird exes who can't handle breakups in an emotionally intelligent manner.

It seems like things worked out as well as we could've hoped. Nico probably played better than his backups would have last season and made a couple of really awesome throws to beat Bama, and it's looking like Joey is likely an upgrade. They both left their original teams, but from what I can tell it appears they've given 100% while playing on Rocky Top. I'm grateful to both guys for the TD throws, the TD runs and the good times. Go Nico! Go Joey! And Go Big Orange! 🍊

I have moved on. But the way him and Big Nic handled it was so classless that I would be lying if I didn’t say I don’t enjoy Karma being served cold.

And me watching and enjoying Karma from afar, it doesn’t affect anyone but me.

If they wanted to leave they could have done it before spring practice. No one talks enough how he scewed over his friends by taking first team snaps and working with the OL, WR and TE all spring only to jilt them at the alter.

Yes it’s working out fine for UT now but it might have been even better if the trade would have happened in January so I will enjoy my cold plate of his Karma.

C'mon man. No reason to move on. The coach and team moved on. The University moved on. We message board hooligans don't have to be anything but petty.

Think it was his Dad more than him but I get it brother! Totally agree it is your right to do so, was just trying to get opinions on it.

Man, it got dark there for a second.

I just want to watch everyone who made fun of Tennessee come to the conclusion that we weren’t just being forcefully optimistic over the QB trade. I have been proven wrong so many times, I like to stand at home plate and watch the ball sail over the fence when I get it so right.

It's as if yore being interviewed for a "rebuttal" on an after school special or something

He's not living rent-free in anyone's head on VN. This is simply chickens coming home to roost.

And Lord knows we love our chicken down South...

Fried.

More, please...

Nothing wrong with making the comparison and taking a few shots. The kid worked UT for a ridiculous NIL. I didn't follow it close enough to know but maybe UT could have pursued someone else if they hadn't gone all in on Nico. He shows up and is a little TOO Cali-cool. No leadership. No real signs that he wanted to be at UT. Just getting paid. Then after being a mediocre or best QB his camp starts criticizing his teammates and demanding more money and better players.

We have every right to compare the kid we have now favorably to Nico... and maybe take a little perverse pleasure in his struggles.

Being over it and enjoying watching Nico reap the fruits of bad decisions are not mutually exclusive.

To me seeing Nico struggles feels about like watching UF and Bama lose over the past couple of weeks.

Other kids have transferred and I really didn’t have any ill will towards them that I can remember, but the way he left, not showing at practice as an attempt to bully us for more $, not holding up NIL obligations, Big Nics mouth and the fact that we went to court to fight the NCAA on his behalf, all make any pain he feels a bit sweeter!
