Jared Goff was drafted in 2016, Fisher and Weinke were fired in 2016. Actually Goff didn’t start for the Rams in 2016. Neither did Patrick Mahomes his rookie year. Better find another example
Not gonna lie I'm one of those people that want him gone. I get it he had JG, Shrout and Maurer to work with. Not the best 3 in the world. QB room is IMO night and day better now.
Harrison Bailey
Hendon Hooker
Kaidon Salter
Sullivan McDermott
I've also heard rumblings of this staff going after another transfer QB. But who knows. This staff likes to use the transfer portal quite often so I wouldn't put it past them. So back to the point. Would you give Weinke a 4th year? I'd hate to see Tennessee waste Bailey and Salter talent.

Sean McVay (who knows more about QB play and mechanics than anyone on his board) stated in how bad of shape Jared Goff was from a fundamental standpoint when he inherited him from Fisher/Weinke. Doug Pederson, who has won a Super Bowl with Nick Foles, said the same thing.
You said Goff didn’t start in 2016, he started seven games. The original post that you responded to was pointing out that when McVay arrived in LA in 2017 he thought Goff’s mechanics were terrible. That would call into question Weinke’s ability as a QB coach since he was Goff’s QB coach his rookie season.Ok, where am I wrong?
My answer is let Chaney do whatever he wants with Weinke. Keep him, bring in a different QB coach, take over coaching QBs himself. Let Chaney decide.
I thought I heard about a year ago that Chaney wanted to coach the QBs, but Pruitt wanted Chaney to step back from that and let Weinke do it. Maybe someone else remembers if that is correct.
Weinke pulled in-
Harrison Bailey 5*
Malachi Wideman 4*
Eric Gray 4* ( Flipped him)
Kaden Salter 4*
Brian Maurer
JG is a coach killer. That can't be exaggerated enough. He did the same thing before Weinke. He made Chaney look bad too. Seriously you shouldn't under sell that.
If Pruitt is retained, I expect him to let Chaney do his thing and remember Chaney trusts Weinke with the QB coaching. We never got a real gauge for Weinke if he is let go. He held his weight as much as he could. Recruiting and coaching.
You all seriously don't understand (EVEN THOUGH YOU SHOULD) how bad JG made things.
Think about it this way:
Who was responsible for JG looking like an all world QB in practice?. Weinke cant make him play like that in the game if he just doesn't...
There's no "true But...." NO!
No caveat...
Okay? JG handicapped the offense for 4 YEARS. And he did it over 3 offensive Coordinators....so there is a large enough sample with HIM being the common denominator.
I stand corrected, but he didn’t start the season opener and didn’t start until half the over half the season was over. But thank you for the correction and your post content shows you’re a very intelligent and highly educated person.Fisher and Weinke were fired after the 2016 season. McVay, who started in 2017, has indicated that Goff's mechanics and fundamentals were horrible. Goff started the last 7 games in 2016.
Why dont you get your sh-t together and actually come with facts next time...
Weinke was fired in January of 2017. Goff was coached by him the entirety of the 2016 season. Not quite the whole post Goff was drafted in 2016, that’s correct, Fisher and Weinke were fired in 2016, check that’s correct, and Goff didn’t start until half the season was over. Sorry for the mistake Karen.
Oh Ok, He had Goff from August thru Dec. Now that’s a large body of work, especially when he wasn’t getting first team reps until over half the season was over. I promise I’ll be more careful next time KarenWeinke was fired in January of 2017. Goff was coached by him the entirety of the 2016 season.
Your entire post was incorrect

I think he is glaringly the second most underperforming on the field. You can’t blame QB performance on poor S&C. I would let go of Artis first then Weinke. It is my opinion we should never have let Rocker go either and that his firing led to Fitz packing his bags. Not gonna lie I'm one of those people that want him gone. Jfc...are you really this obtuse?
Rookie mincamp was in early May of 2016, Goff was a Ram and practicing from that point forward, with Weinke as his position coach.
Furthermore he wasn't some 8th grader starting high school, he was an NFL 1st round 1st pick QB that Weinke made worse during his time coaching him.
Fitz went back to the NFL that has a better schedule for family... Rockers contract expiring had zero to do with Fitz and Artis didn’t do a bad job. We stayed healthy and our issue wasn’t strength but technique.I think he is glaringly the second most underperforming on the field. You can’t blame QB performance on poor S&C.
