What's your most memorable Tennessee play against Bama?

It wasn’t a play per se, but my favorite memory of the Alabama series is what Steve Kiner said as he came off the field in the 4th quarter of the 1969 game. With Tennessee leading 34-0, yes, 34-0, Kiner sneered at his crimson-clad opponents and said, “Look at that old man [Bryant], he looks pathetic. There was a time when those crimson jerseys meant something.”

I met coach Fulmer once and asked him about that incident. And he said, “the strange thing is that Steve actually said that.”

I remember a ton of them;but, the two that stand outthe.most,1)Johnnie Johnson's sixth-six hard run against Bama in Birmingham to put the Vols ahead 41-34.Second,the block of the field goal try by Bama in 1967 when Tennessee won 24-13.

1990, TN attempts the game winning field goal which is blocked backwards toward the TN goal line. Bama runs 1 play and kicks the winning field goal to win 9-6. I have never felt sicker in my life.

I was sitting in the south endzone when this play occurred. I was pelted with mustard and ketchup packets before the game was over. Fortunately for me, a Bammer saw the guy do it more than once and told security. When security came to get him, he dove down toward me and hit his face on the bleacher behind me. Fortunately for him, he didn't have any teeth to knock out. The cops took him out.
This sir, Is a Great Football Post, and it happened UTvsBAMA, one you'll never forget. Thank you for sharing!!!

Yes, I felt shocked, in fact I sat still for about 30 seconds, trying to go through everything that had just happened, as if I could any effect on the situation, God knows it was awful.

'95 first play. After the game, we walked up to Birmingham Southern where we had parked. Traffic was backed up, so we went to the 'snack bar' to get something to eat. We really stood out in that pool of crimson. Oddly, our freshman (BSC) daughter wouldn't go with us.

Was it '95 0r '97 that the B'ham police arrested the Chatt Free Press photographer for being on the field after the game? When they marched him down the field and put him on his knees in front of the UT fans and band it got ugly.

So many, but I have to go with Peyton’s untouched bootleg - makes me smile every time I see it. Gotta believe the last thing Bama was planning for was “[no] wheels Manning” rushing for a TD on them.

The first video posted by Freak of JG running past Bama defenders is one that resonated with me. I was around 13 and remember yelling with my Dad in the stands. Twas a good day.

Was also 13. Great game. Cool you were there to witness it in person.
Unfortunately for me, the game that just keeps poppin up in my head is 2009 .. those 2 kicks that got blocked ... they were low line drives .. had Daniel Lincoln got just a little air under either .. oh well. That game is like a thorn in the side ... here we are a decade later and that game still pisses me off more than any other loss. For me those 2009 fg blocks are most memorable but obviously for the wrong reason

All of the above, but I'll mention the first one I remember. Bobby Gordon running for about 50 yards on Legion Field in Birmingham, 1957. Vols win, 14-0. I was seven years old. They would go on to beat Bear Bryant in his last game at Texas A&M 3-0 in the Gator Bowl.
