It's really random. I was going to ask the same thing. It goes off the air around 7 pm and doesn't come back until around 730 or 8 am. I don't know what the deal is but I like ESPN radio. Is it lack of advertising?

The transmitters on AM stations are usually throttled down at night and sometimes use a directional antenna also, thus decreasing coverage.

Ahh ... that makes sense. Well, then they need to work on getting an FM station because ESPN radio is roughly 100x better than 99.1 or Fox or whatever it is.
