In college we were out at a dancehall drinking and carrying on. I asked a girl if she'd like to dance after a while of watching her from across the bar. Her response was "I dont like to dance". My reply was,"WTF are you here then?" I walked off.

The End.

I asked a girl out for dinner not terribly long ago, and her response was something like, "Uh, I can't. My good guy friend just broke up with his girlfriend of 3 years, and I am going to go over to his place and drink with him." I was like... ooookay. Awkward answer.

(some will say I inserted "I" to cover for my loser friend, but whatever)

I would have asked her if she'd like to just drink excessively then. If she says no to that, THEN I would be follow your exit strategy.

I was told something similar once early in undergrad, and I am 6'1. She was an Amazon, but hot. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Keep your chin up, bro.

2 thoughts on this:

1) that's not necessarily a rejection, and is open to interpretation

2) if this were ever the case, I would want to know about it ASAP, so as to make sure some sort of rejection occurs immediately.

Asked this smoking hot girl at a party to dance. She politely said no but that her sis-in-law wanted to dance with me. Looked at her sis-in-law, shook my head and said nah thats okay. Walked away.
