I normally wouldn't get rattled, I'm used to it. Rejection happens....but there was this awkward few seconds. Usually I would rattled off a corny one liner or joke and move on. All I could think of to say "huh, hadn't noticed?!" (pertaining to my height)

She was waaayyy too into Chipper Jones and Derek Jeter/A-Rod. It was a daily reminder of how I got the wrong end of the (height) gene pool:p

*sorry friends, this was one story that doesn't end with pity....time :)

The little guy is making a come back in baseball. Maybe you should give a call.

In college we were out at a dancehall drinking and carrying on. I asked a girl if she'd like to dance after a while of watching her from across the bar. Her response was "I dont like to dance". My reply was,"WTF are you here then?" I walked off.

The End.

I asked a girl out for dinner not terribly long ago, and her response was something like, "Uh, I can't. My good guy friend just broke up with his girlfriend of 3 years, and I am going to go over to his place and drink with him." I was like... ooookay. Awkward answer.

(some will say I inserted "I" to cover for my loser friend, but whatever)

I would have asked her if she'd like to just drink excessively then. If she says no to that, THEN I would be follow your exit strategy.

I stand about 5"6', ~145. I was in my first semester of college and had become friends with girl who sat next to me. After talk Braves baseball with her, I figured I would ask her out for lunch or dinner/movie. Her answer verbatim:

"Awww, Tyler that's so sweet....but I'm sorry, I just-don't-date guys....shorter than me."

Boom.

Way to man up and tell your story. Indiana needs to take lessons.

You'll hace to get on twitter, facebook, and myspace and follow 18- boys to be a good recruiting expert. Best wishes WM.

I'd prefer you to be a "floater" and provide the lulz though.

I was told something similar once early in undergrad, and I am 6'1. She was an Amazon, but hot. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Keep your chin up, bro.

No seriously. It makes you look taller.

"'Ya wanna go out?"

Answre - "my penis is bigger than yours"

2 thoughts on this:

1) that's not necessarily a rejection, and is open to interpretation

2) if this were ever the case, I would want to know about it ASAP, so as to make sure some sort of rejection occurs immediately.

Asked this smoking hot girl at a party to dance. She politely said no but that her sis-in-law wanted to dance with me. Looked at her sis-in-law, shook my head and said nah thats okay. Walked away.
