What's the point of playing Eric Berry 1 snap on offense?

if you're going to play him on offense, shouldn't you line him up more than once? what's the point of doing it then? you'd think they get him in there a hand full of times if they were going to play him on offense. he got a screen pass for 5 or so yards and then done. I can agree with not doing it in the 2nd half when the game is over, but in the 1st half, he should have gotten more than 1 play if you're going to play him. just did not understand that all

making him happy while satisfying the fans who have been saying he should have been there all year?

I think if that play would have been more successful they might have called his number more. Having said that, it is perplexing.

They threw it to him once, while he was running backwards, and they didn't really block for him. Awesome job.

We couldn't keep a drive going long enough to get him in . . . then we fell behind and had to throw it.

I was watching Berry's body language closely, he was gassed.

He's an amazing player, but especially after running back the fumble, he just didn't have as much gas in the tank.

They need him bad on D. Had we had more 1st downs, he woulda played more O.

I'm actually with Phil on this one.

Making him happy so when he is rich and famous in the NFL he will donate money back to the school so we can build some fancy addition to the stadium, and in turn lure future recruits in to committing (including, but not limited to, his little brothers).

Again, someone at the biginning of the season summed up this offense the best... Dave Clawson is like me on a 360 tring to "spread" my plays out to aceive balance. The man doesn't have a clue, and Phil is just as guilty for leeting him have the control he has!

And if you know you have to throw it, why wouldn't Eric Berry be the guy you try to throw it to?? At least once or twice?

well, you know you're chances of winning are slim when you're down 22-3 so why bother putting him in and risk an injury? but when you're down 13-3, I think you get him in there

When we got the ball on the 5 after the fumble,why didn't he get the ball at least once?

Thats my question to our soon to be ex coach.

the more I think about it, the more I like him at WR than QB. it gives him more spaces to work with, similar to returning an INT that he's use to doing

who knows why the do anything on offense. why do you throw the pass behind the line of scrimmage on 3 and 15? why not go for it on 4 and 2 when your on your oppenents side of the field?

I agree. I actually liked the way they tried to get him the ball on the screen.

Exactly. They didn't get him in there when the game was was still on the line. Our offense is the worst that it's been in a long, long time, but yet we can't figure out a way to get the ball to a guy who's probably better with the ball than anybody else in the league.

One play. One lousy, poorly designed play. Malpractice.

He plays almost every snap on defense, and throw in SP this game he was out on the field almost the whole game. Gotta give him a rest sometime.
