As of right now, I would like to see more of:

Thompson

Barton

Hubbs/McRae -- toss up. I think Hubbs/Thompson have better chemistry.

Stokes

Maymon

Thought you were serious til I saw you having trouble deciding between McRae and Hubbs.

I'm not sure people realize how well McRae is playing...22ppg on over 50% from the field and 45% from three, also averaging 3 assists per game and has an a:to that would make most PGs jealous.

With that said, I'm interested to see how we play against better competition with Thompson and Barton out there. We looked great out there with those 2, and Thompson really brings another dimension.

We haven't seen much of Barton / Thompson / McRae. McRae was very seldom in the 2 pg line up. Barton was brought in to relieve McRae at the 2. Hubbs / Richardson was in at the 3. CCM also mentioned that in the post game show last night.

I think we may see some of Barton / Thompson / McRae, if we ever get into a tight game and the minutes are winding down. I don't think our offense could be stopped.

Thompson already has 10 steals. He had at least 4-5 deflections last night. He's the next pest.

Thompson had a career game last night - shocked and amazed I am at the improvement I have seen with him. 7 assists - ( at times I have seen Martin coached teams not have 7 assists -- there were games where Trae Golden didn't have 1 assist) 5 steals and a few deflections. His court and basketball instincts are incredible.

He was abysmal on defense and his reaction time was too slow earlier - so hats of to Coach Martin and Thompson for putting in the work and improving his footwork and his defense.

I thought Moore had another quality game - I think he at times played the 2, the 3, and the 4 although maybe he just substituted for others that play those positions. He is crazy versatile and I love watching his effort.

The 9 man rotation - looked soooooo much better. Those 9 can play and play together well. I look for more of that in the Bahamas. I think it helps on two fronts - these 9 are all getting good minutes so they seem to get in a good rhythm and you don't have the others - who really are not consistent or are stumbling around lost - slowing down the flow.

Overall - even though it was Tennessee State I was extremely impressed with our offense and movement last night. That is the team that I expected to see this year.

We are gonna surprise some people if we can consistently play like that on offense imo.

I really have a tough time even watching them play....throwing up bricks from two feet, pointless fouls, poor decisions, high I.Q. teams are going to tear them up.

Not sure if the lack of assists has been squarely on Martin. When I heard we had picked up Barton after losing Golden, I said we would be much better on offense. Golden was a me-first guy, and his decision making was terrible. We actually have guards who make the right decision. People don't realize how much Golden hurt us at times. I appreciate his efforts, but this team needed someone different.

Fans are going to love DT. To see the improvement from the start of his Junior year (where he was on only some mid-majors and lower radars - Belmont, Lipscomb, etc) to last year (ending up a top 150) to learning and adjusting to the college game has been amazing.

The things he does the best are passing and stealing the basketball. He has a good shot, but consistency needs to develop. This is perfect for him to play this year with JMc, Barton and Hubbs, where he doesn't have to worry about shouldering a scoring load and just do what he does best.

I have to agree with Dougie on one point.
There seems to be some chemistry in the younger players on offense. could be special if the 2014s mesh.
All need to work on their D though.

We are missing Skylar McBee as our lockdown defender

I agree 100%. I've never seen a team throw up so many point blank bricks from right at the goal. I think that unless we improve we'll miss the tourney again.

You've got lots of options with 4 perimeter guys and one post, but that's the way I'd go. For whatever reason, Maymon and Stokes are not as effective on the court together as they are on the court as the lone post.

So, you could go Thompson, Barton, McRae, Moore: Barton, McRae, Richardson, Moore; Thompson, McRae, Hubbs, Moore; notice I keep putting Moore in there because he is really a 4 in a guard's body.

Put any of those 4 combos out there with either Stokes or Maymon in the post and you have a much quicker, smoother, better ball-handling team which can run bigger teams to death.

As of right now, I would like to see more of:

Give me a break they shot 55% from the field, 78% from the line, and 44% from the 3...you trolls will find the littlest things and blow it up lol.
