What's Next for Colbert?

TDS? I only know TDS to be a provider of plain old telephone service and ADSL in rural areas.
I don't think it'd matter if they weren't bashing Trump to exhaustion specifically. It's just the constant criticism and non-stop bashing of something with these news and comedy people.

The same money that ruined those professions has taken down college football.

Colbert may have attempted to spread the love, or tried to impress that he was, but it was his incessant and non-stop TDS monologues and open obvious hatred that did him in. That schtick is burning down to the nub accross all time slots. It's tired, rode hard, and hung up wet. Just like the "popular" girls in HS.

We used to watch him and Jon Stewart years ago when they were both actually funny. Both are just empty shells of their former now.
You bailed it, it's not only gotten old while trying to watch entertainment, it's gotten stupid. For entertainment, and news. I get a certain criwd eats it up, and thinks it's entertainment, but it's not. It's like trying to watch the news, like following a hurricane for instance. You barely get the stirm, but constant "this storm is trumps fault ". I don't like the guy, but goodness it's tiring.

Yea, he's a bit of a weasel. But, not as bad as the rest of the DC clucks. And he's got the clout to get things done better than the rest of them. I wanted him to be presedential. I'll gladly accept productive. I didn't vote for him to win Mr. Congeniality. But, I won't waste my time judging and criticizing him. Saying you don't care for someone does not equate to hate and judgement. That shite will come back 70 times 7 to each of us when we die. Alot of good people have forfeited their salvation allowing themseves to get so brainwashed.

Speaking of storms...how bout that 24 HR Weather Channel coverage of hurricane Erin that won't even landfall anywhere. Tons of drone footage showing how to spot rip tides cause that's all that was happening on the NC coast.

And next time I say something that gets you all excited, take a deep breath and check the spelling. lol.

As a correspondent on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show he was tolerable only becuase his act was confined to short segments. He’s not likable and worse he’s just not that funny.

That being said he could probably get a decent audience on a podcast or internet show.

Colbert is unfunny and annoying. You would have to pay me to watch him.

I have no idea why an entertainment network has been spending $40 million per year to keep that guy on the air.

#1 in late night programming, big ad buys, redistribution rights - buck$. And when the revenues and ROI fell far enough, they decided to sunset their late night programming. People are consuming content differently. There’s declining demand for linear output. Late night programming will contract and possibly disappear.

[Also, Sky merger will induce more cost savings decisions going forward.]
