Hearing that the staff just wrapped up about 2.5-3 hour visit with the Hubbs' family. Initially thought it was just going to be Tyndall and Pinkins but ended up being the entire staff on the visit from what we hear.

Have left voice mail and text messages with Hubbs, Sr , hopefully will get an update soon, but no guarantees.

I don't know when we might get a resolution but the initial and very early vibe I have picked up is that it seemed to be a very positive visit from the Tennessee side.

I know it's wishful thinking but, I wish people would leave them alone. Just speaking with them they are tired of being hounded by people. Regardless of his decision RH3 is a kid of character. Instead of making a knee jerk reaction he is listening to CDT and the staff to see what their plans are for using him. I can't blame the kid, I am a UT and RH3 fan and always will regardless of the outcome of this. They are planning on having a decision by the end of the weekend, if he comes out tommorrow and says he is a Vol the CDT hit a home run because right now they still don't know what they are going to do.

Question - Did Hubbs really think that CCM was going to be UT's head coach for his entire career? And if so, why isn't there (wasn't there) a family member or someone close to him (and other student athletes) advising him that no one can guarantee that your coach will remain at UT for your entire career? It just seems to me that in major college sports you are always dealing with fluid coaching situations.

This is beside the point of course but I hope Hubbs sticks with the Vols.

He understands it's a business always has. They don't have any ill feeling towards CCM. They were shocked but, understood what the score was. When I heard some of the stories of the things that CCM endured back in January and February, it embarassed me. Things that haven't been made public. He loves Tennessee but, once again he understands it's a business. There is a lot of prayer and a lot of family discussion going on at the Hubbs house right now.

Would it not hinder his development to sit out another year? Im sure they are considering that but looks like CDT is building a nice roster especially if other dominoes fall.

They sound like a great family for sure. I know they want their space....understandable. I am sure it is obvious to them how much the Volnation wants them. Now we just have to wait and hope he stays a Vol. Thanks for the updates.

Vq posted an update after speaking with Hubbs mom. Sounds like Hubbs is going to remain a Vol!!!!!

Huge night for Donnie Tyndall it seems.

Austin Price said that he talked to Hubbs mother and she said that Robert told Donnie and the staff that he is still Volunteer, was they left. Price added that things can change over the next couple of days and we can only wait for an official announcement from Hubbs.

His mom just told me the visit went great and that when the coaches left he told the family he was still a Tennessee Vol. Obviously anything can change but the good vibes that Rob spoke of earlier seem to be great news for Tyndall and company.

Hubbs has a chance to really endear himself to the fan base by sticking with TN. If he develops like everyone thinks he will under Tyndall and that leads to wins, he will be a fan favorite for a long time.

I'm sure his ultimate goal is the NBA, but sticking through the adversity and coming out on the other side even better, will go a long way to helping him fulfill his goals, especially if he truly loves UT.

They can probably both play at the same time. You will probably see some small ball with Tyndall. Maybe we can pick up Parmesan and Gouda to go along with them.

Don't want to get my hopes completely up.....but this sounds good. He can be a star for the Vols....and the fans will love him. It is understandable for him to take some time on this....but it sounds like he wants to be at UT.....and oh how we need him. Feeling good about this.....and about Tyndall.
