whats going on with Robert Hubbs

He's a bust. If Stokes is a tulip then he is easily a daisy.

Hubbs may easily be a daisy, a term thrown around at the beginning of the last century. It means 'the best'. Never heard of being a 'tulip'. Stokes was a daisy this past year.

In the state playoffs last year the couple of games I saw him maybe a 3 star I could not understand all the hype, maybe he will step up next year with a year under his belt.

You might not have a clue what you're looking at to. Keep that in mind.

Apparently Tyndall decided to get ahead of it with Hubbs and take the whole staff to visit last night according to a couple of sports shows.

"Robert Hubbs. Donnie Tyndall gets credit for getting out in front of this one. Robert's parents were due in Knoxville to meet with Tyndall today but he decided at mid day to grab his entire staff and go to visit with the Hubbs family in Dyer County. Great move. Will it pay off? Great question. At least you showed those people last night that they are valued."

Geez. Even though I called for some attrition, this is getting scary. I really didn't see the Thompson and Davis thing coming, and I thought Hubbs was set on staying.

Tyndall is facing some big challenges, some bigger than even Martin experienced in his first couple months here. Can't wait to see what he can do.

I have a feeling Hubbs will stay just because I can't see him wanting to sit out pretty much two years in a row. Was shocked too about Thompson and AJD, but I could see AJD not caring as much about sitting out a year and bulking up some.

Sure hope it was enough to convince him we want/need him. Evidently same treatment wasn't enough stroking and fawning over for one of our other recruits

I never seriously thought Hubbs would leave, and I honestly still don't. I doubt we see anyone else ask for a release or transfer.

Basilio said that CDT went and met with the Hubbs family last night with his staff.

Basilio also reported yesterday that the Hubbs family was coming to Knoxville to meet Tyndall and let him know their son is leaving Tennessee.

So I take what basilio says with a grain of salt typically.

He was also the first to report that Tyndall was going to meet with the Hubbs family.

Maybe he mixed up the details or maybe the meeting place changed.

Russell Smith said the same. TIFWIW

Do you know how Butch Jones main theme is competition? I am seriously wondering if these guys leaving are afraid of competing with the recruits coming in and want to guarantee they play at a mid-major. Ironic, huh? There really do appear to be some "studs" on the way.

Did I read somewhere that Hubbs's family was going to meet with Tyndall in Knox, but Tyndall wound up taking his staff to Dyer county instead? Maybe that explains the confusion?
