The way we performed yesterday was a surprise for me. I thought we would win, but not dominate like we did. 42-7 at the end of the third quarter was a little jaw dropping for me.

What makes the performance even more impressive is the fact we did it without a number of our best players, especially at the WR position. This shows how Butch and company are building quality depth. Feel free to add to the list if I forget any.

Marquez North
Jason Croom (who REALLY came on strong when North went down)
AJ Johnson
Josh Smith

I imagine that we wouldn't have witnessed a Vol bowl appearance, much less a resounding victory, if Tennessee didn't have this kind of depth to begin its season.

Likewise, I expected this to be a tough game based on a veteran team against a very young team. The coaching staff had done a great job preparing them for big stage. I also like what CBJ is doing with academics as well as recruiting. Brighter days are ahead for the Vols and Volnation!!!

This CANNOT be emphasized enough, ever! I am perhaps more proud of the academic accomplishments by team 118 than I am of anything they did on the field.

They should seriously have some sort of Plaque with his pic on it showing what it takes to truly be a VFL....

Iowa was about at slow as the Tennessee teams in 2011-2012 were. Iowa had no chance at all trying to deal with Tennessee's speed. I wish that giant fullback for Iowa played for Tennessee however
