I loved those uniforms.

We're not allowed to wear them due to NCAA rules. It was a one time exception.

There aren't any more of them, as the sides were trimmed down to make "booby" shirts for the ladies.

I have nothing against them. I was there, didn't we put up 42 that night? With 2 true freshman QB's !

Yes, I loved those uniforms. I was at that game as well. I still remember the mumblings around the crown about Schaeffer not being "SEC-Quality".

If i remember right a team had to have a jersey predominately one color. This was apparently too close to two? I was at the game and if I remember right I think UNLV had gray jerseys.

That's not true...Many teams use that style of jersey on the road...Oregon is a good example..We were not given an exception to wear those jerseys it was an anniversary that we wore them....the home team can choice which color jersey they prefer to wear ala LSU prefers the road jerseys all the time...We CAN use those jerseys if We choose to. :good!: And I wish We would, I love em

This was the explaination I got as well. I want to see these jersey again. I have a #7 jersey like this and I wear it to all the games I can.

if i remember correctly, something about it not being more home or away colored, but rather even colored and stuck between both. Did they let us you it just one time? Or, I thought I heard we had to pay a fine after using them for that one game

You heard wrong. There werent any rules broken by wearing those jerseys. Anyone who tells you otherwise is just misinformed.

Mike Hamilton said on Sportstalk a while back that we had to get a waiver from the NCAA to wear those jerseys. He said in the same interview that we tried to get a waiver for the Cotton Bowl that year to wear those jerseys but we were denied.

Not that I don't believe you or anything but if thats true then how comes these guys are allowed to wear these hideious home and away uni's and not get fined or a NCAA violation? :thumbsup:
