You guys remember how after big plays they used to call for Smokey's Howl. What happened to that. Maybe we should petition to bring it back!

It was lame and enough complaining apparently paid off. Plus, we wouldn't want to interfere with the LED advertising by doing something to rev up the crowd now, would we???

Maybe someone realized that it was very annoying and pointless.

sounds better without it...can you imagine playing ac/cd (i think) like Va. Tech...at Neyland as the player come out...i'm sure the one's that sit the entire game wouln't like it but something need to be done to get people into the game..grated better play would go along way but some excitement would help too

I think Florida fans complained about it last year--they complain about everything.

yes, that's what we need. a dog sounding like it's been shot in the a$$ blasted over loudspeakers, followed by the ever so witty "sick'em smokey", to remind everyone just how comedic this program has really become.

i'm glad it's gone, and it went away for a reason. it sucked.

you answered that question with your comment right after it.

a big play TD followed by rounds of Rocky Top has never ever been a bad thing, and doesn't need to be replaced, it just needs to be revived.

I just think that it would be good to have something other than rockey top to do occasionally. Especially something really really annoying!

ask anyone in the SEC about it and they'll tell you that there are few things than more annoying than hearing RockyTop over, and over and over and over again for 4 hours. why do you think teams have pumped it in over loud speakers during practices in the past to help prepare?

the problem as i see it is that there simply haven't been enough reasons during home games lately requiring the playing or Rocky Top.

fix that, and everything else will be just fine.

I really empathize with you Jake. My wife is traveling on business from Sat. to next Fri. I am going to be home alone with my 7 yr old daughter and 3 yr old son (rounding up a bit). Granted, they are not newborns, but I am starting to feel a bit tense about the week.

For the life of me, I can't imagine how single parents pull it off. I would absolutely lose my mind.

Now, all you have to do is look at the product on the field if you want a good laugh.
