I have one very good one that favors us/VT. As such ... I am fishing for one that favors you gentlemen and UT to paint a balanced picture.

I am not looking for anything along the lines of traditional offensive via-a-vis defensive match-ups; not even something from Special Teams.

What's a hidden edge here that might favor UT?
What is something outside the box that could give UT the winning edge?

I will give you published credit, should I elect your X-Factor as first-best.

TIA-

I see for VA Tech to win the game their running back Williams I think has to run up & down the field....now for UT JC has to have a superb game & have Hardesty & the defense to play well

Are you familiar with M. Hardesty's spinability? I am holding this out as an X-factor.

1). Bryce Brown being healthy. His nagging hip injury has had a lot of time to get better.

A healthy Bryce Brown can be a slot WR or a good RB.

2). The FB sneaking out of the backfield and headed up the seam. Kiffin has used this a lot but really only hit it twice (once to Johnson and once to Cooper). Teams tend to forget about the FB in the passing game and Tennessee has two pretty good athletic guys at FB.

3). David Oku returning KOs. He's been really close to breaking one. He might get it against you guys.

G. Jones and Moore will do well in the absence of Virgil (sic?).

Obviously VT will have to play somebody in his place at CB. I like that match up regardless.

Luke Stocker, and our Running Game will be key in this game. Stopping Tyrod Taylor from running in the open field. and for the love of God we need to stop the screens from happening.....

Another X factor is Lane Kiffin's previous experience against VT's defensive scheme. Remember, LK coached offense at USC in 2004 when VT played USC at Fed-Ex field.

Think there's nothing to it? Think again. I am not going to be specific, but at one point early this season, Kiffin made a play call that resulted in a TD.

Kiffin said he knew the play was going to go for a TD when he called it b/c he recognized the defensive scheme as being the same one VT used against USC when he was there.

I fully expect Kiffin to call that same play again in ATL. I also expect it to work for a huge gain or even a TD.

Kiffin is one smart sob. His dad isn't too bad either.

4pm till 6pm. Or thereabouts; 'pending on how many ads we sell, and we are behind from the Blizzard last week, so that might shorten things just a tad.

Eric Berry!! If he gets a pick and breaks the record early it would be a huge momentum shift and would get that 500 pound monkey off his back and would allow him to play without the pressure he's been carring around all year.

If I remember correctly Monte was the only D-coordinator to figure out how to shut Michjael Vick down when he was still in Tampa, Tyrod is no Michael Vick, but I still see Monte's football mind as an X-Factor, and establishing the run of course.
