LT: Eric Young (Sr.)
LG: Anthony Parker (Jr.)
C: Josh McNeil (R-Soph)
RG: Jacques McClendon (Soph)
RT: Ramon Foster (Sr.)

is what I say. I know Young and Parker played on the right side last year but losing Sears and Ligeon I think we might need them to go to the left side. The only lock to start is McNeil at Center I think and the others could be mixed up and I think by season's end, Chris Scott will having a starting job. Anybody know anything for sure?

I agree with this. I just couldn't decide if McClendon gets the nod over Foster though. But this is how I see the starting line at the Cal game with maybe Foster replaced with McClendon.

I agree... Foster is too "large" to play on the outside. I'd rather see him play then Parker. I saw Parker beat too many times last season

I'm excited about seeing McNeil's improvement this year. The center is the anchor of the offensive line and I believe we have a great anchor in McNeil. The rest will fall into place.

The top 3 tackles are Young, Scott, and Johnson. Any of the 4 guards could starter. Young and McNeil are the only locks, imo.

I agree with this and happily so. A group of O linemen (10-12) that are that close in talent, IMO will tend to form a chemistry of competition and comradery this team needs so badly. I'm so looking forward to this year to see how hard these Tennessee men will fight.

I don't care who plays as long as said players have a nasty attitude and get a push when we need it. I've seen far too many short yardage situations in the past several years where we fail to pick up the third/fourth and 1-2.

For the record, I think McClendon will crack the starting line up along with McNeil and Young. The other two spots...??

Tennessee's O-Line hasnt been nasty in years...somewhere along the way we lost that "stomp yo a**" attitude and maybe that has to be in a player, maybe you cant coach that, but I have not seen it in our line for awhile. Well, Sears might have had it, but it was only him.

Not often that I agree with you Rex but this time I do. Nasty attitude and the “I'm lining up and I am going to bury your butt” hasn't been a part of out line in many years. This isn't something that can be coached. You just have to have that blood and guts attitude. The No fear look attitude, look the guy in the eyes and bury his butt and move on down field for the next man. When we get that from at lest 3 of our O line then we will be in business.

Seems like we lost that attitude when Jimmy Ray Stephens came to town. Florida's O-lines were soft when he was there too.

that's been a problem of ours, the guys move like their feet are anchored to the ground, all kidding aside, all size and no feet, that's been a big problem with our line in recent years

It isn't about soft, it isn't about feet. It all comes down to attitude and the I am kicking your butt. Man on man and I am going to beat you no question about it. When we get that attitude, then our running game is back. Heart, desire and want to in the trenches.

bro', what do think soft means? we're talking about having lost that nasty element of wanting to just kick somebody's a**. If you dont have that, as a lineman, than you're soft. trust me, it's about being soft.
