What will it take to get rid of Fulmer? Mike Hamilton who never had any problem getting rid of basketball coaches when they were not getting the job done can't seem to wake up and see that Fulmer isn't doing it. If a 5-6 season a few years back didn't do it, and year after year of wasted talent doesn't do it, pathetic coaching and play calling doesn't do it, then what will? Just would like to hear what everyone thinks it would take.

Since Phil's ego is too big and MBA Mike is more concerned about the product in the concession and it's pricing formula than the product on the field and it's coaches, the fans will have to not show up at the games. The fans have to fire Phil. I am following BPV's lead and staying away until change is made. I don't care if I do get offered free tickets!

I will always take free tickets to watch a weekly slaughter

Millions in buyout cash--that UT will have to raise from fatcat boosters. In this economy, they may not have that kind of money.

I think this gets really ugly once that firing day get here. We might not recognize our program for a couple of years after that day. I have not recognized the program for the last 6-7 so it won't be that big of a change for me. I just don't see Phil taking his firing well and dragging it out in the media.

The thing about Fulmer is he's a very likeable guy. He's done a lot of good for UT. He's made lots of friends in HIGH places since he's been here and that's given him some security. But like Notre Dame said about Willingham "He's the best coach you can have from Sunday thru Friday but on Saturdays....not so much." I really feel like change is coming. I just hope sooner than later.

Thunder Thorton and other boosters will have to get fed up, what I do not get is that if they are UT fans how can they be pleased right now?

Why don't we give our tickets to some homeless guys sleeping under the Interstate bridges?? That could be fun to see them come to a game.

I had an employer lay off a bunch of workers and we all gave our company shirts to the homeless shelter. It was great to see a guy with a shopping cart and the company logo going by.

Following at least a 6-6 season(probably worse!)...big attendance drop...and major negative NATIONAL media exposure CPF will resign "for the good of the program". He will not be formally fired. This is the year!!! :) IMHO

Hahaha Yeah Ok.....There was a 3 million Dollar DOnation on Saturday. Money is not the issue its getting Hamilton and the board to say enough is enough. I just wish Fulmer would retire with some respect and not get fired. I wish he would just say my time has come and I wish the University the best of luck But I feel its best if I step down as the HC of the Vols. Go out with Pride dont go out like Majors Mad at the University and the Fans mad at you. I can only hope we get another guy who loves the Vols like Fulmer does. He might not have been the smartest but he treated his coaches with respect and is a very loyal guy. But his time has Come!

Yep the media will take Phil's side no doubt. I can just hear Holtz and all the "experts" whinning about how UT did poor ol Phil. Makes you sick just thinking about it!
