What will Dooley do with the remaining spot.

There is no reason to try to argue about insight with Volnation's own Tony Basilio.

Enjoy the firings that did not happen and keep going ad hominem when you have nothing to contribute.

Oh, look, more crap. I've never once claimed to know that someone was being fired. You know why? Because I don't pretend I have inside sources. I don't. I've speculated, like everyone else, and given my opinion as to what I thought should happen. Nothing more. Now, have fun making up some stories about fictional dinner meetings and failing horribly with 15 page prediction threads.

I'm really kind of hoping it's not Tee Martin.

While I think we could get a better coach, I think the presence of two Vol greats could help unite a locker room. But I agree, I'm hoping it's someone with a little better resume.

You know I am a TM advocate but with JayG on board I would be less excited about TM. I think the next guy needs to be a coach first and a recruiter a far 2nd.

Just throwing this out there, utsports has now switched Hinshaw back to QB coach. Don't know if this means anything or not.

Could mean that we're in the market for another WR coach. But someone's going to have to pick up TE and special teams.

James Wilhoit as a GA would be a great idea.

You predicted that correctly. He just created another failure. I was going to respond but it was deleted in a nanosecond.

Without knowing his bio that sounds like a great name to consider. I think he is in a situation that coming here would be very tough to do. OK st has no issue with money and that situation is just not comparable to ours right now but a name that would be great if we could pull it off.

Are you slow?

You in this very thread talked about wanting Garner. That shows you have no idea what you are talking about. So do the many many threads where you have repeated absolute lies.

Do not pretend to know anything about Kippy.

Bruin,
Kippy is almost certainly not coming back. He said he would stay and help, and people were excited about it, then he got angry when he felt like he was not given enough consideration for HC. The change in AD would help with that situation, but the fact that he was telling everyone he should get that job when Memphis did not even want to hire him showed that he may view his skills and his opinions as having more value than a head coach would want from a WR coach.

Young guys who are hungry for better jobs in the future and who are willing to work 70 plus hours a week are the types of guys you should look for.

I doubt we ever have a Chuck Smith or a Charlie Baggett type hire again. The NFL requires less work than CFB and wealthy guys who have been there and done that have not worked out well at UT in Dooleys tenure.

Wilcox wanted Tosh Lupoi already once. When Tosh was reprimanded by the conference for having players fake injuries so they could rest it did not help his cause. Tosh would be a great hire but seems very unlikely.

Lance and Sirmon enjoy working with each other and both seem to finally have some talent to work with.

If another coach leaves for another position, that opens up room on defense I would not expect it to be either of them.
Actually I wouldn't be surprised to see them pursue him. He doesn't make that much at Cal I believe and Tedford's situation is even more tenuous
