What will Dooley do with the remaining spot.

From The Scoop. SIAP, so much to sift through today...

Tennessee: Look for more changes at Tennessee. We have been told that the new AD Dave Hart authorized Dooley to assemble the best possible coaching staff.

If DD does coach ST, barring any other staff changes, I'd like to see them bring in a punting/kicking guru whose only responsibility would be to work with our kicking specialists.

Even if this is just a 1 year thing I think it could have tremendous benefits.

Need a GA just for that purpose. What will Dooley do with Gino now that Graham is on board? He worked with RB's last season.

LK was pretty much handing out blank checks and that still wasn't enough to get RG. it did get him a raise at UGA though.

Only if the GA has the right name, preferably one we've seen on the back of a UT kicker's jersey.

Yep. This comes up ever year. Let's talk about a realistic choice. Brown is still in play with his ST experience.

Yes, but Lane Kiffin was known to use profanity. Scared Garner off.

I don't disagree with that. I just think its a big aspect of the game for a head coach to take over when they can have others do it.

Urban Meyer was a ST coach during his time at ND (I believe it was at ND) and has maintained his hand in it even as a head coach. He felt it was an important aspect of the game and one best handled by him. I remember hearing that ST players at UF got the first pick of equipment, numbers etc. From the perspective of getting the most bang for your buck in terms of staff you'd think freeing up another position would be ideal.

Frank Beamer at VT also coaches Special Teams.

Mere speculation at this point. As of right now, it's just guys talking hypotheticals.

Been down this road before for those who pay attention and have any idea what happens in the program.

His wife will not leave Atlanta.

We are not making him D coordinator and paying a million a year.

Garner is not coming even if he is pissed at Grantham and Richt (rumor not fact).
