What will Dooley do if we build an early lead?

And a BIG one at that! Who can stop us? This is gonna be fun to watch! 50-3 Vols.

We'll coordinate with the Florida D to shut down our explosive offense. Every other run will get stuffed at the line of scrimmage and Bray will start getting picked throwing into coverage by the 3rd qtr. Florida wins by 2 TDs cause that's how we roll. All the talk about running up the score is comical.

We"re still doing the BCS thing right? You want a chance at a big bowl you have to run it up on big name teams.

A mere 14-0 lead? Against Florida? Question is, I'm sorry to say, DUMB. He will put the pedal to the metal. You play pattycake with a team like Florida. The moment your foot is off their neck, you're 14-34 and getting no mercy. CDD isn't stupid, he knows this.

Let's say we come out and catch the Gator's D off guard. Maybe both CP and Hunter have huge TD catches and we find ourselves up 14-0 in the 1st quarter or early in the 2nd. Let's also say that Florida's O struggles early.

Would Dooley start playing it safe, start running the ball to control the clock, and stop blitzing? Or will he keep his foot on the gas and keep playing aggressively?

He says he wants to score points, but I could see him getting paranoid and being afraid to blow an early lead due to INTs or quick 3 and outs.

he better score all he can, just look at Arky, ULM last week....

Arky was upi 28-7 at half and still lost

The thread title should be "What will Dooley do when we build an early lead?"

Answer: Keep foot on pedal.

We need to get off to a good start and play from a lead. I hope we can score enough to make them try to chase us and get some turnovers. I do not see a blowout since I haven't seen one since I think 1992 against Florida. I am ready for this thing to happen.

As the final second ticks off the clock, over his head set:

"Yah. Get me 1-800-flowers. Yes. I'll wait..

Yes. I would like a dozen pansies delivered to the University of Florida, Attn: Will Muschamp. Note to read: 'Sorry I ran it up on you like that. Hope the eye surgery works. See you next year. The Doolinator "

"Oh! And PS: JH and CP say to tell your secondary, 'Thanks for the peanuts.'"

Thanks. Bye.

He has no choice...this offense only has one speed, fast.
