I think on offense we should run alot of draws and screens. That will make florida's speed beat themselves and make them be honest and not pin their ears back and come straight at Crompton (If he starts) therfore should be better protection. Just a thought...

On defense I think we have to blitz. We cannot sit back and let Tebow look around to throw to his choice of recievers or run. We also will have to disguise coverage to slow down tebow passing at all.

What do you guys think we should do on both sides of the ball to do well?

Short passes, tosses to the wide side of field, screens in the flat and sprint draws IMO

Play like Ohio St football, run the ball, short easy passes, & play outstanding D & special teams & try to win it in the 4th quarter

Focus on running with the occasional short toss by Cromp. Slow ball and keep the clock running. The D coaching staff didn't coach their side of the ball this week. They helped the O. D took the week off to rest up for being on the field all day on Sat.

We could use some pressure from the front four. If they have to commit more than one linebacker to the line Tebow will hit the underneath all day. Stop Rainey and Demps before they get going, once they're in the secondary you're in trouble.

Offensively, ah never mind on that.

A lot of running and takin deep shots down the field (thats what i would do). UF has great STs, and ours have improved. Not likely, but if we have to figure out a way to beat them in STs.

Yep... got to take deep shots to try to keep the Gators honest--and a deep pass that's intercepted could be about the same as a punt, as long as we have recievers who can tackle (such as Teague!).

The D will be fine.

have crompton take two shots before each quarter

I fell out of my seat laughing at this one! :p Our D will be the key. There's absolutely no way we can win in a scoring match with them.

I think we need to rely on our D to score some points themselves or at least set us up deep in Florida territory. Maybe we can force turnovers & get points this way for a win.

Otherwise, I don't see us having a chance to win. We've got enough defense to win but we can't depend on the offense to give us many points to be honest.

If we can hold Florida in the 20's maybe we have a shot but it may need to be even lower due to the outlook of the offense after the UCLA game. GO VOLS! :)

Yep agree! last year, JC looked best heeving it to Denarious Moore. I agree Teague needs to be in the rotation more than UCLA. Crompton's no west coast dude, requires to much quick thinking...and let him run too. If we can make Fla. drive long distance, maybe, just maybe...but if we give them the ball in FG range 3 or 4 times like last week...no chance at all. GO VOLS!

Physical play from our CB's is a must IMO.
Make them earn every catch.
I seriously think we will get 2 picks off of Tebow. Question is, will the offense be able to do anything with it? We need a stellar day from the O.

on O, you only need 10 yards with 3 tries...maybe 4 tries, depending. just keep doing that over and over again untill you get into the end zone. sure, take those shots down the field from time to time and maybe try a few trick plays. At the end, just get the first down. if it's 3rd and 2, dont try to throw the ball 40 yards down field. If you are going to throw, throw it 2.5 yards, just get the first down. If you are going to run, fight with everything you have to get those 2 yards.
on D, just do what daddy Kiffin says! You might have a hard time at first but when he makes his changes after he notices what is going on, just do what he says. Win the turn over battle. EB for 12 points! at least! I can hope!

If Tebow caught the flu he would just heal himself with his mystical powers. Then ESPN would talk about it everyday for the next year.

Maybe we could try to put 8 in the box, pretend like the corners are on an Island. Stop the run, or give the "impression". Then drop in zone, I mean everyone drop in zone, Tackles rush then stop, corners push, LBs rotate and simply flow where ever, complete zone. Let 2 guys rotate at each D-line position. !!!!!! Seriouse......

For the O.... let Coach O dress out and play QB
For the D.... let loose Dennis "I'll break your jaw" Rogan
Or they can bring back Burgess Meredith to teach the O how to "Eat lightnin' and crap thunder"
