We are improving for sure last week was just blimp but bc we already suck so bad it was really bad. We probably play the best ball we have yet this season today and we kept the second best team in the country to 38 points. We are getting better and we can finally say next year will hold better results but make no mistake our team next year will not be close to where it needs to be to compete for the natty. We are still 3 years out from doing so if vols and fans give Pruitt a chance. I won't hold my breath on that

I saw some improvement on D. The team fought and kept things interesting into the 4th. Those are positive signs. But, the formation penalties on punts are concerning. We got off to yet another slow start. The offensive play calling was pretty awful. We lost Callaway to a concussion, most likely. There was plenty of negative too.

Based on today, I think the D will be fine, assuming we can recruit (a big if). The O is a train wreck. I sincerely hope something clicks during the off week and we see something I'm missing in the offensive game plan. Because right now, I don't think we could beat a good team with the starting O of the Patriots and our current game plan.

Yep .. I will have what your smoking. We will be 3-9 this year. Maybe with vast improvement 6-6 next year. I'm not making fun of your post, but I'm tired. Football is only a few months of the year. Love my Vols

I think 2020 will be a major jump in improvement. Next year will be a little better. But we still wont have the necessary quality of players and depth to be a huge factor in the SEC.

Not sure I Am in agreement with you in regards to our potential in 2019. If we're lucky, UT doubles their wins from 2018, which currently is on pace for 3 or 4, if everything falls into place. 7 or 8 wins in 2019 will be an improvement but not top 15 worthy. I just want to win a single...conference...game at this point.

OL played a little better. Still stunk, but some sign of hitting the person in front of them.

DL looked a little better.

Team fought and we're in the game in the 4th qtr.

I will take this as a small step in the right direction. There is something about Pruitt I like, and I do think he will win here. He has a long way to go with this program.

AU, USC and Vandy are not definite losses, but they are still unlikely. I don't see us beating a healthy KY or Mizzou team.

Vols still lost by 26 points. Was there any point in the game where Georgia had to be concerned about the outcome?

There were some good things, but we have a long way to go, and need some offense if we're gonna win anymore. Other than our last cupcake game.

Probably not. If we could of gotten a stop after the 2nd TD then yeah. But we didn’t

My thoughts are the defense played pretty well til the last quarter. Probably fatigue at that point. Got to get more from the offense. JG doesn't see the field well, doesn't audible, not sure he can call audibles, but he needed to flip the play to the other side of the field. Should have checked out of several plays they ran right into the teeth of a blitz.. Offense is still a long ways off the defense is half decent.

I think UGA struggled on the pass rush, which gave JG more time than he had against UF. I'm going to have to see this OL pass block AU and Bama successfully before I start thinking they've turned a corner.
