One other thing i noticed and not just in this game, bama starts strong like bull but kinda fizzles out the 2nd half. Im beginning to think they have some out of shape starters and are not as deep as everyone might believe. I say if and this is a big "if " we are within 10 points at halftime, we win.

geeze,i hope you're right.but the game i watched last night, they did'nt do anything but get stronger at the end with their running game, not fizzle.:eek:hmy:

McKelboy is waaayyy overrated, not very impressed with him last nite, we need to stack the box and force him to beat us with his arm

They will be doing the same thing to us.
I think the key is in turnovers, special teams and kicking.

Unfortunately for us all these things favor "those people".

To win we need 2-3 really big plays on each side of the ball.

On defense: Berry (or anyone) returning a pic for 6, recovering a fumble at a great time.

On offense: A long TD pass by Cromp. A creative ground play that gets 40+ yards.

No special teams breakdowns
Lincoln not missing inside 35 yeard.

If this happens we have a chance:redface:

As the games have gone on this season I think this will be our toughest test. Alabama has played the best consistent and complete football in the country all season (sorry LW) and I think they are the number one team in the country (or should be).
That being said, if Crompton, his receivers, and our offense are able to make half the plays they did against Georgia, someone sits down with out Special Teams and explains how SP are supposed to behave on the field (maybe with a coloring book or something...I am really at a loss with our sp play), and our Defense plays that beautiful punishing game they play so well, then boys and girls we upset the best team in the nation and get our 2nd SEC win.

Disciplined football. UFtebow and BAMA have been annointed by the media and SEC officials. My bet is a hailstorm of obscene penalty calls against us. CLK should let Coach O handle the refs this game. We need flailing arms and a big mouth in the ref's ear-hole Saturday.

Message to the Vols... intensity and purpose; hostility will be boiling over down there.

Our offense has to be able to make first downs. None or very few 3 and outs, so our defense can rest. Bama's running game can wear down a defense and we do not have alot of depth. GO VOLS!!!
