UF is overrated, or should I say was. Auburn showed the world that if you have a decent O-line and run game that you can move the ball on them. Toss sweeps to the corner, or cutting back. Gashing them up the middle. We worked them over for what, 30 yards?

Coaching- Ears went for it on 4th and 1 & 1/2 at the UF 6 yard line, up 7-0. He was successful, and made it 14-0 on the very next play, a run for a TD. Fill kicks the FG 100 out of 100 times.

Auburn tackles and tackles well. They schemed Tebow very good, and made him pass to beat them. They rocked him every time he ran, and blitzed and made him get rid of the ball. He looked confused. Harvin bailed him out with a couple of spectacular catches. Speaking of Harvin, they held him in check pretty well all night, and again, tackled. When AU stopped them on 4th down Muschamp was jumping up and down and celebrating with his players as they came off of the field, saying "That's what I'm focking talking about." Chief tries a Larry Bird-esque 1" vertical jump, or leans backwards and grimaces.

I think that game shows just how far we have fallen, and how bad our schemes and coaches really are. Watch what LSU does to Tebow next Saturday night. UGA rolled Ole Miss for 200+ rushing. God help us next week.

I fully expect georgia to expose our butts again. Win or lose they will run on us relentlessly. I don't know what part of tackling we don't get. But i bet we could spend more than fifteen minutes working on it as we did this past week. Fifteen minutes that makes me laugh!

Muschamp is an underrated Defensive Coordinator.

A disruptive front 4 will beat the spread option.

Sure tackling is the best defense in the world

Things I took from it:

1. It is possible to run on UF, we didn't.
2. Tackle well and UF very beatable.
3. Our coaching staff did a miserable job preparing for the UF game.
4. UF has very average pass defense, something we should have been able to exploit but we didn't.

Great post, I agree 100%.

While I loved watching the gators get beat, I was so frustated with the realization that we just plain suck. Auburn did exactly what I've been preaching for 2 years now that we'd have to do in order to beat the gators. GET PHYSICAL. Unfortunately, the VOLS just can't do it. We're soft and poorly coached.

Very True....the Vols have appeared to be soft for sometime in all aspects of the game (Blocking, tackling, running, special teams). It's just so frusturating to watch it year after year. Same ol same ol. Then Phil tells us that the team needs to play more physical and he puts a program into place to get them more physical but the results are the same. Very frusturating.

Come now AllVol, didn't you know we have been working like heck to be a better, more physical team since the humiliating loss to Penn St?

What can we take from the AU/UF game?

Well our team speed is nowhere near close to making a dominate team in the SEC. Our offensive line is not SEC caliber. UT could easily considered to be the 9th best team in the SEC right now. Auburn is starting to show some improvement.

I learned that Auburn has a better coaching staff than us.

You obviously didn't watch them play Miss. St. or USF. Way to base you're opinion on one game. This just shows how great college football is because anything can happen, and how fickle and herding fans can be.

What I took from the game is just recruit from the state of FLA and we will be fine thats where all the USF players are from majority of UF, AU recruits there thats all we need to do just forget the state of California and stay down south...I mean AU recruits Alabama,Georgia,Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas,Florida, and a few from Tennessee and South Carolina and they pick a few from other states thats all we need change our recruiting tactic and stay in the south

UF is way overrated, not even a top 10 team. I still can't figure out how UT didn't light up their terrible secondary. If they played now, UT would win easy.
