I was actually glad he didn't catch it because I don't think they would have marked him out of bounds.

But still, just a stupid call all around. USCjr with 2 starting DB's out of the game and we don't do down the field.

I agree. That was a strange call. What was that 4 yards going to get you? For the most part you were STILL in the same position but now with less time.

Exactly. If you throw across the middle and it gets intercepted, who cares, the game is over anyway. Clock stops with a first down anyway so middle of the field is still in play.

Whoa whoa. That was deep into Debord's playbook (page 2). He didn't have a lot left to rely on. Give the man some credit..

Exactly what I said when it happened. Looked like Dobbs was going there the whole time. Sobs has a propensity to make some of the most WTF was that plays of any QB we have ever had.

Worst. Call. Of. The. Season.

I had same thought but it was more like 2-3 yards not 5. If I'm SC I give up 5 yards all day long for 5 seconds off the clock at that point.

Hard to argue this.... as much as he's played he does make some incredibly head scratching decisions.

He was setting Medley up for a 58 yarder... worked too. Medley did not get all of it.

Lol. Medley got all he has . For a kicker that is not reliable outside of 40 yards I don't understand why Butch continues to put him out there for FG's over 50 yards

Plus , Wolf could have unprotected sex with a hooker, cause he never catches anything. What happened to him this year- he was money last year. Why does he still start? He has dropped more balls than he caught this year. I dont understand.

that last 18 seconds was terribly managed by Debord. The short pass to Wolf was a mind boggling time waster??? Go down the field over the middle of the field that's been wide open all game. 18 seconds is plenty of time to get to the line after a first down and spike the ball.

Also I liked our chances with a hailmary pass more then a 58 yard field goal. Cause you know. We actually have completed one of those this year Unlike a field goal over 40+

Mind boggling, isn't it? Something like doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. Although in this case it was somewhat different. He usually kicks long enough - just not down the middle when over forty yards.

Four yards would have gotten Medley's kick through the uprights.

Because Dobbs, in all his briliantness, doesn't have the marbles to understand how you have to throw the ball TO the 1st down marker to pick up a 1st down.
