it seem 35-40% of the fans at the game were KY fans. that really sucks that so many 'vol' fans sold their tickets to them.

on the other hand, they really thought they were going to win that game.

I had to listen to the first half on radio, and it sounded as if the KY fans were louder than the TN fans during the 1st half.

Well, the last time they were in town there was maybe 65,000 people in the stands.

I agree (with the second post). Loomed to me like there were three big sections, and a light peppering of blue throughout the stadium. I'd say no more than 20%. Heard on the post game show that they only sold 3,000 of their 9,000 allotment.

doesnt matter.. we could sell all the tickets to their fans and we would still win

There were more UK fans than you would want. I'm thinking about 30%

I would say 20 to 25 percent. Way more than I would have thought seeing as how their program is steeped in irrelevance.

The ones I spoke with were all very nice FWIW.

10%. There is always less orange at colder games because people wear black/dark coats since we all don't own orange ones. All the people in dark/black coats should not be assumed to be UK fans.

15% of 101,000 is a little over 15,000. there were way more than 15K. i think it was closer to 30% i would say there were 30K KY fans there.

There were only about 95,000 fans there and I would guess probably 16-18 thousand Cats...

30 Thousand is an estimate by someone who was obviously not there and is a rediculous number....GBO:blink:

People cant do their math or something. At a minimum there were 25% Kentucky fans.. I was embarrassed to see all the damn blue in our stadium, on senior day, and with a bowl chance on the line.. Took two nephews to first game and they asked "Why is everybody wearing blue. They are supposed to be wearing orange." Even an 8 and 9 year old can see that!!! Oh well those that didn't come missed one hell of a game.. Go Vols!!

i was at the game, but I am not good at estimating numbers.

I will say that there were MORE blue shirts than I have EVER seen in Neyland. it was embarassing, until we won...

Then it was AWESOME.

they had a big section behind and around our band. if you think about it that is normally student tickets, but with it being thanksgiving, alot of them we at home so the university had to sell those. and i noticed that the ky fans weren't the smartest fans cause when we were on defense cheering, (especially on third downs), they were standing up cheering too!

This. There were 3 senior citizens behind us wearing navy blue and black jackets but yelling louder than anybody for UT.
