Good question. They want to drum up a controversy. The guy ran and jumped through a set Schofield. Now it's controversial because the coach gets mad and knuckleheads throw stuff all over the court.

It certainly wasn't a block, so even if they let it go as a no-call, the shot was nowhere close to going in. Shooter should have stopped one dribble earlier. He clearly looked to initiate contact hoping for a call.

Had the refs given Davis a technical one of the 20 times throughout the contest thathe deserved one, they would not have had to ring him up right at the end of the game. Late technicals usually result in controversy.

I think that the controversy was that TN didn't get jobbed enough by the refs.

I would think the only thing that could have been controversial was the traveling call at the very end, but the ref went to the monitor and saw that when he made the call the clock had ran out.

There was one time in the first half where I couldn't believe how animated the ref got with Davis without T'ing him up.
