(coach Fulmer, you are welcome to claim these ideas as your own when you accept the SEC Coach of the year honors next December)

1) Offense: a) Make Crompton your starting QB from spring practice on to utilize this mobility....not necessarily an option type offense but more of a Urban Meyer motion offense. b) Get the ball in Coker's hands out in space. c)If a play works don't go to it multiple times in a row i.e. the tightend screen (the opponents defense unlike ours can make adjustments).

2) Defense; a) radical changes including bringing in a new defensive coordinator. b) Any speed you can recruit this year stick on defense (Berry, Vereen etc) especially in the secondary. c) get out the old tackling dummies and teach the players how to tackle (and watch the replay of the Outback Bowl to see how Penn State does it).

3) Use some imagination....talk to the Boise State coach. Bring some excitement back to Neyland.

4) I suggest you and the assistant and the players camp out one night on the Field at Neyland Stadium stressing that this is their home and nobody comes in and wins on their home!!

5) Fans; improved this year but could be better. When I was in school there, Doug Dickey would have friday night pep rally bonfires before big games with coaches and players often attending to fire up the students.

No reason why UT can't return to the top in the SEC even with the present HC but changes will have to be made!!:twocents:

6) Fire Fill, hire Cowher. Can you imagine The Chin on The Hill? Can you imagine Hefney trying to walk past Cowher while he was yelling at him?

I couldn't disagree with 1a any more. 1b I agree with. 1c also, but I'm not sure how often we did that.

2a I disagree with. Year to year we have a great defense. 2b..our D is fast. 2c. we tackled well most of the year, but it slacked off later on

3. Everytime we try a trick play or exciting play, it seems to backfire. (i.e. the reverse). No reason to keep trying crazy plays if they are poorly executed.

4. The grounds crew wouldn't like that :) They did go down there last year and have a meeting and watch a presentation of some sort on the Jumbotron to that kind of efect.

5. The fans here want 1. Booze 2. Football 3. More booze. They really don't wanna be in the stadium more than they have to. (Did anyone notice our BBall didn't do a midnight madness??? It's b/c noone shows up!) Not many people interested in that stuff anymore, sadly.

It has been established, I believe, that in was NOT Hefney that walked by Fulmer, as Hefney was still making his way to the sideline.

I just wish I had never told him how to post in all orange.

1. Leave Ainge at QB, Cut is working wonders
2. Improve the O line
3. Establish the run early in every game
4. Teach tackling on defense

Is this supposed to be serious?

I do not think you can win now in college football with a statue as a QB (witness the two teams paying for the NC). I like Ainge, but the defenses are now are too good with their blitz packages. Remembet the play that beat us in the Florida game? It was the huge intentional grounding loss of yardage on our final drive. Why? Because of an inelusive QB!

Crompton will be in his third year next year. He is our best hope. Do I think the coaches will heed my advice.....nope. Look for next year to be the same as this year with Ainge going down with an injury.

I don't think Michael Vick could have escaped the jailbreak that led to that intentional grounding.

Wonders late in the season? Wonders against Penn State? I think Ainge has maxed out.

The coaches don"t have the balls to do what Bill Parsells did when this year he benched that chunk of concrete...Drew Bledsoe!
