What type of OC do we need?

At least you are consistent with your hate and direct blame to JG, did he dump your sister or something!
Your agenda has been clear since the beginning! Almost every analysis in the country would disagree with you, Our OL was hot garbage this year!

Serious Question: What program is competing at a high level in the Power 5 that runs the offense that you speak of?
So... the OP I responded to placed blame everywhere BUT on JG and I simply pointed out that he wasn't good either... but I'm the hater?

My "agenda" is UT winning. Not to pamper the feelings of people with some weird affection for JG... not to some agenda that promotes one player over the team.

The OL was bad. So was JG's reads and slow decision making. The OL improved in pass protection late in the season. JG seemed to get worse.

You and a couple of others DO have an agenda. You'll throw anyone else under the bus to deflect any criticism from JG. Funny I didn't see you criticize JG's habit of staring down receivers... though he did this year. Maybe I missed you demonstrating a sliver of objectivity.

He's not a good QB right now. He can't move the O. The OL wasn't good either. They were flatout horrible to after losing Kennedy then even worse after losing Smith. But they began to play a little better toward the end and got decent at pass protection. JG does some things really well. But the things he does poorly makes him very easy to defend. I know you'll find some way to blame others for that... or just to handwave it but that's on you.

I do not hate JG any more than I "hate" Ryan Johnson or any of the other OL's that struggled. I don't "love" any of them over the others. I love the VOLS... the TEAM... not particular players. Much more than your bias toward JG... that gives me an opportunity to be objective.

The Op didn't place blame directly on anyone but the OL is where it most belongs.

I have placed blame all the way around OL, JG, Bad Attitudes....That is where we differ. I am just defending the person you place all the blame on when it is clearly not all JGs fault.

Every analysis in the Country talked about how bad our OL play was this year! None of them put it on JG, You hate JG we get it! But please stop acting like you are even trying to be neutral about JG. You are consistent with your hate and that is ok, Just Own it!!!

Your criticism of him is all on assumptions of what he sees at the line of scrimmage. You don't know how well he reads defenses because he gets hit before he has a chance to show anything, because the OL was horrible.

Just say it with me slowly, I HATE JG! don't you feel better now?

What type of OC do we need?

One that wants to be at Tennessee and says Yes, would be a start, no?

If they were going to hire anyone that would impress recruits, the announcement would have been made before yesterday. Who wants to be OC for a first year coach with a losing record, mediocre recruiting, and who stated that some teams don't need OCs? Only answer now seems to a really good Friend or someone really desperate for an OC job who can't get hired anywhere else.
