What to wear at opener

I am friends with a coach at Georgia Tech. He knows I'm a VFL. He is giving me a sideline pass to the opener. I don't know anything about how that works but I imagine I will be quarantined to the Georgia Tech sideline. Obviously out of respect for my friend I can't deck myself out in all my orange. Anybody have a suggestion for a neutral color? Can I get away with the smoky grey? In all seriousness I don't really care what I wear, but I am worried that I will not be able to contain myself when the vols do something big. After all, I am the guy that screamed at the TV during the games. Either way I think it will be a cool experience. Maybe I'll have an opportunity to sneak to the correct side line.
Whatever you choose to wear just remember you're in a position to make history. You should strip naked half way through the first quarter right when someone is about to punt, and charge the kicker.

You guys are pretty funny. I inended to keep t low key and classy. Vols underwater and socks it is I guess.

I am really hoping the pass allows me to stand on any side but I'm sure I'll be stuck with the gt crowd.

I'm excited and look forward to a cool experience. I'll be sure to take a bunch of pics.

Orange shirt under a Smokey Gray pullover...with a Power T, but make sure it's "allowed" I can see a team not wanting someone on their sidelines sporting the opposing teams gear!

Have the same problem this year with a friend who coaches for Bama. White shirt with a small power T is not rude and you should be fine

I wouldn't care if it was them! I'd wear what I wanted to. Must have respect to care. No respect for anything Alabama!!!

Wear a GT thong.

Could be a distraction for the Yellow Jackets. Plus you'll get on ESPN and the SEC Network!

Just don't let the Tennessee players see ya!

Sideline passes allow people to walk around the field on each side. Unless it's different from any I have ever scene there are no passes for each side.

If I were you, I'd ask my coaching pal if you'll be confined to the GT sideline or allowed on the Tennessee side, and I'd ask him about apparel etiquette if confined to the GT side.

Can I get away with the smoky grey?

Smokey grey color, yes. Grey slacks, grey shirt, clean shoes. If your pal OKs showing your school allegiance, I recommend a shirt with "T" or "Tennessee" or "UT" or "University of Tennessee" on the breast. Look administrative, coachy business casual. Represent well. Interact when engaged. Otherwise remain focused on the action. If you're confined to the GT sideline, you already know that you cannot indulge in choruses of Rocky Top, cheers, chants, hoots, and gesticulations with abandon. Be the good guest. Wait until you're clear of GT team space before unleashing your fandom. Have a grand time!

Volunteer Traditions has really nice polos. I have a smokey gray one with the orange rifleman and the checkerboard along the buttons. They're like 75 bucks at Alumni Hall.

Tank top, jams, plastic flip flops, and a sombrero with double beer funnels attached.
