Doug Mathews also has his Saturday show on the same station at 9 a.m. Central Time. I think both sows are also podcast & on another station in Knoxville (1180?) He is even-keeled, NOT hyper nor sensational...but he knows what is happening & is a VFL!

Coach Mathews was traveling today and called in to the show for a few minutes. To try and summerize he said that at midnight tonight marks the end of recruiting and the last dead period that runs thru NSD. He said that OT Drew Richmond was on campus and at the UT Auburn basketball game yesterday and appeared to have a really good time. He also said that Richmond had a large number of family present and that CBJ should be commended for getting him here on the last offical day of recruiting.
CDM also said that CBJ helped Peterman get the Pittsburgh offer. He also said that we may see a few more players leave just before NSD. This is CDM opinion. Also said that if we landed Richmond that it would he would be the centerpiece of this class.
About the OC position, In CDM opinion, we would not hear anything until after NSD, be he thought it would be quickly after NSD. It is also his, CDM opinion, that CBJ has probably already offered the job to someone and knows what he would say. Again in CDM opinion, he thinks that it would be someone close to CBJ that he knows very well and would be very comfortable with.

Thanks for the summary of his opinions/guesses my friend.

I certainly hope we can flip Richmond to become a VFL.

I think there's several in this incoming class that could be considered as centerpiece playmakers.

I also figured that buTch would help Peterman and anyone else try to find a good fit and scholly somewhere else.

He doesn't seem to be the type of man that would simply say bye and good luck.

I agree, I think with 3 freshman QBs coming in Peterman new he would be out. Good to see some classy moves by the staff. With the struggleswe have had on the o-line a strong player like Richmond would be great!

Richmond would certainly be a huge get.

I'm just really glad we already have 2 O linemen as EE's already on the hill and getting coached up and it's good that both are over 300 pounds and getting stronger.

No doubts that we're moving in the right direction.

It was totally amazing how fast our coaches took so many true freshmen last season and coached them up well enough so fast that many of them made a solid impact.

True freshmen aren't supposed to be able to make a impact so fast much less so many of them.

The future is so bright it's becoming blinding.

If we land Richmond and keep everyone that is committed verbally, how are we not the consensus number one class in America?
