What they're saying nationally

I can see that. I would need to look at their schedule, it looks brutal. I don't see them repeating 10-3 again.

8-4 or 7-5 seems right for them. I think they were better than the NC State team Tennessee beat in 2024.
Only other loss could be SMU on the road not sure if SMU will be as good this year or Georgia Tech on the road. GT didn't look too hot in their eke out win over what I consider a mediocre Colorado team.

I started a thread last year asking people who they would want to host for a CFP game in Neyland. My #1 was Notre Dame. That place would be incredible.

I better start putting some money aside for those ND tickets because I’ve got to have a couple.

Many on the Syracuse board didn’t think their DL was very good so we probably need more data…we should maul ETSU unless our guys just come out flat (or are looking forward to Georgia). But Georgia will definitely be the test.

Im glad these outlets are admitting their faults and giving Tennessee its due praise......but at the same time id also be fine with Tennessee just quietly going about their business, improving, and beating every team in their path while flying under the radar as long as possible.

Sidenote: this is exactly why (especially pre season) i listen to talking heads for simply amusement. They have absolutely no idea what's coming up in a season.....especially with the TP and NIL now.
Tennessee is only under the radar of the media. Every team in the SEC knows to take us seriously.

So true I have been kicking my chops and grinning at how the sec network guys rarely talked much about us on pre season. Flying under the radar. GBO

You know, I never considered that Heup looked at what made JA successful and adjusted that way.

Very intelligent observation!
I think the reason of so many 5 star flops of qb is when coaches view film they don't look enough at how fast they get rid of the ball. Like if a qb in high school has plenty of time to throw, more needs to be looked at when he is rushed and see how he does on that compared to wat he does when plenty of time. i have seen lots of qb when given plenty of time do very good, but when presssured do not do well at all..
