What the Point of even having Football?

Reasons like what is posted below, is why we need a new coach.
Source: ESPN Page 2 - Easterbrook: No coaching experience necessary?
Buck-Buck-Brawckkkkkkk (College Edition No. 2): Unranked Tennessee was trailing Alabama 16-3 midway through the third quarter when the Vols punted on fourth-and-1 from their 35. Alabama took the ball the other way for the touchdown that made the contest a walkover. Tennessee came in 3-4 against the nation's second-ranked team, and was afraid to try to gain one single yard at home? Once again, victories don't come in the mail! A team that is afraid to try to gain one single yard at home deserves to lose.

Rule of Message Board Posting:

When all you can do is point out grammatical errors, then you might as well not even reply.

That's a very weak, nonsensical thing to say. BTW, it was a spelling error, not grammatical. You meant ''Woe''...not that it matters, I'm just saying....

a risk implies that something bad or worse could happen.

From my vantage point, it absolutely cannot get any worse. Losing all big games with little hope of improving in the future is the absolute bottom of the barrel. Hence, hiring freaking NewCoach wouldn't represent a risk.[/QUOTE]

:eek:lol:

I found that to be pretty damn humorous

Finally some folks that see things the way that I do. We have had so much talent grace the hill in Knoxville since the NC in 98, but everybody was too damn busy being satisfied with a NC that mediocrity came in and bit most Vol fans right in the ass. I just looked at the teams that are in the Top 25 today and got so pissed off that I had to go outside and smoke a cigarette and cuss under my breath. Utah, Boise State, TCU, BYU, Ball State and Tulsa. The once mighty Tennessee Vols cannot even compete with these teams. I for one will not settle for mediocrity. CPF makes plenty of money and he's not getting it done. We need to bring back the days when people all over the nation looked at the Power T and knew what it stood for......Damn Good, Hardnosed Football......

I once liked Jimmy Hyams. Now all he does is bitch and moan and tip-toe around questions acting like he's "Higher than speculating" when in reality he doesn't want to be cut off from interviews if he speculates wrong.

Nutshell: No one involved with or covering Tennessee football has a set of nuts on them to go for the goods. I'm like Dayton, I'm a winner. I want to destroy anyone and everything in my way of my goal.

THANK YOU!!! Finally someone else says what I've been telling people all along. Who gives a flying crap if we get worse? I mean most people have us ranked as 10th out of 12 in the SEC right now. You think it won't be like this always with Fulmer? It's mind boggling to me how the Fulmerons can support a coach that is destroying something they supossedly love. People grow some #$# balls!!!!!!There is nothing but upside potential at this point in time! The perfect window of timing (last couple of years) is vastly closing. If we don't do something now, then it is over! We are stuck with Fulmer until he wants to leave. If we hire a middle school coach, we will still on average be better than a handful of SEC teams every year. IT CAN'T POSSIBLY GET ANY WORSE THAN IT IS NOW. Why not at least try to get back to the top? Isn't that the point of any money making organization or entity? No wonder this country has more dumb@#$@ than any other country in the world...The next time you want to share your opinions based on asinine logic, do us all a favor and keep it to yourselves.
