That loss is the worst loss I have witnessed in my 30+ years of being a fan. I don’t get it though. I can’t figure out where the disconnect is. These coaches are ALL proven coaches. They have put tons of players into the NFL. Our head coach was the most proven D-Cord in the country. Our O-Cord has proven his scheme is one of the best in the college game. We have talent all over this team. How can a team full of talent getting coached up field the team that took the field tonight. I have to hope this was part fluke and medicine needed to these guys to learn to play under the lights. BYU is the biggest game of Coach Pruitts coaching career. If he doesn’t come out and dominate BYU and bring another team to Neyland than the one that came tonight. He will have completely lost this entire fanbase as well as all the recruits they have worked their asses off to get. The Snow ball effect will be catastrophic to this program. UT should probably rethink the sale of alcohol for this up coming game or they might have an awful lot of angry drunk vols around a bunch of Mormons. It could be a really ugly look for this University. I know it feels like rock bottom but it isn’t. It can get worse.

I mean could Bituli be that big of a piece to this defense? Was our offense just out of sync? I need to see this team play against BYU. I’m not getting my hopes up but I have to wonder if this was just some kind of bad juju. I don’t know how else to say it.

Well listening to some on here, Georgia St. is actually awesome and will win the Sun Belt and this is a great thing because apparently not realing the season started is a thing.

You know....all the same bullstuff excuses people made for Dooley and Butch.

I am right there with you. I genuinely cant figure out what is wrong, here. The team has talent, much of the best of it young but some of that is very highly rated. The coaches - these arent midweastern U coaches but all coaches who have proven chops in the SEC no less. Why did GA State look like world beaters on us? I really just dont comprehend how or why we could have played that badly.

Plenty of experience and ability on the staff and team, but we coach and play with an arrogant, privileged attitude.

Like not trying to score before the half. Did our coaches just assume we’d come out in the 2nd half and dominate? Where’s the fire from our player leadership? Just bad attitudes for some reason

The team looked like a team with a 1st year head coach at their first ever scrimmage. They couldn't line up right on multiple plays. They had no motivation at all. The players said Georgia State just wanted it more than they did. They smashed both lines in the mouth and the Vols quit. The coaches, who had about as much passion as a weekdead flounder, let them quit because they had quit themselves, or maybe never started is more accurate.

It was a case of a head coach and coaching staff not having a team ready to play and not giving a flying f*** about it!
